1. Aristotle's space theory
I am Aristotle a brainy Greek philosopher who was
born in Macedonia and was a well behaved student
of Plato for 19 years. I had a clever space theory that
the earth is round. I set out to prove that my theory
was correct by saying that if the earth was flat then
if a ship left from the harbour it would all shrink
until it disappears (and falls off the edge!) But if the
earth was round then the front would disappear first
and the mast last. I examined a ship and saw that
my theory was right. Sadly though loads of people
still thought the earth was flat.
