Hello,
My name is Jacqueline Bates and I have recently written and passed the NCLEX to become a
Registered Nurse. I am currently waiting for my registration fromthe College of Nurses. I graduated
with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing withHonors from St. Lawrence College through Laurentian
University.
Throughout the previous four years as a nursing student I have had the opportunity to
experience many different areas of health care. In the first year I had placement in palliative and
complex continuing care, followedby maternity and oncology with general medicine in my second
year. Third year included mental health, occupational health, a general surgery floorthat centered
mainly on gastrointestinal surgeries, and a health clinic in a penitentiary.
Additionally, I spent my acute consolidation in fourth year on a cardiac floorthat consisted
of patients whowere awaiting a major cardiac surgery. I spent my final semester consolidating in
the Saint Elizabeth Home Health Care Clinic. After consolidation I was hired on as a personal
support worker(PSW)while I waited to write my NCLEX and so I currently workas a PSW casually
for Saint Elizabeth, and I workpart-time at the Kingston OliveOil Company.
I am very personable and have strong communication and math skills. I enjoy working with
people, and creating the best possible experience for the client. I am friendly,hardworking, and
very client oriented. I workwell both independently and as part of a team, and I loveto learn new
things. I hope to be considered forthis employment opportunity, as I believe I would be a great
addition to the team!
