1. The Owl That was Different

2. There once was an owl who lived in the woods.
His name was Hoot.
He was bright and colorful. Nobody liked him.
3. Everyone loved their brown feathers and orange beaks.
Hoot was sad that nobody liked him, so one day
he came up with a plan.
He would roll around in some mud to
be brown like all the other owls.
4. It worked he looked like everyone else.
He was so happy until in started to
rain.
The rain washed all the mud off his feathers
and he was bright red again.
5. But it turns out that Hoot wasn’t the only one
covered in mud.
All the owls were brightly colored!
The owls realized that they were all
different and that was okay!
