2. RESPONSIBILITIES SHOULDEREDON
As a Civil Engineer, my main responsibilities include: -
•.Verifying the quantities of Subcontractors billing along with the BOQ / Technical specification /
method of statement .
• Identifying variation to original scope of work and reporting the cost implementation.
• Verifying the price variation claimed by the contractor for the basic rate material.
• Approving Secured advance for the material procured by the contractor.
• Preparing reconciliation statement against the Owner Supply Material and implementing
necessary recovery if , any excess wastage as per the contract clause.
• Implementation of Liqudated damages as per the progress schedule .
• Preparing Bar bending Schedule (BBS) and controlling the wastage of steel.
• Preparing BOQ based on the concept drawing along with rate analysis and estimated cost of the
project.
• Monitoring and Coordination with the Contractor to get the work done with Time,Quality&Cost.
• Preparing In house Labour Billing.
• Coordination with Formwork, ensuring correct size, elevation, strength and stability of the
shuttering work.
• Ensure the Quality of finishing works as per the Architects comment.
• Ensure the Quality of Construction Materials.
• Ensuring the requirement of Quality Management systemare implemented and maintained.
• Preparing the material calculation and Cost tracking on daily basis of the project.
• Labour management, Planning and Scheduling.
• Setting out (marking the position of structures).
• Checking shop drawing, Co-ordination with consultant and othercontractors.
• Attending site co-ordination meetings.
• Preparing As built and closing out procedure.
