1. -52070-213995Carola Häggkvist<br />Carola Maria Häggkvist, famous as Carola Häggkvist. She is born in Hägersten on september 8, 1966. Now she is 44 years old. The reason why she is famous is beucause she is a singer. She sings pop –and gospel music, and she is the most famous singer in Sweden. Gospel music is religious, and pop music is music that everyone listens to.<br />Some of her songs are called ”främling” /stranger/, ”tommy tycker om mig” /tommy likes me/, ”fångad av en stormvind” /caught in a wind storm/, ”Mickey” and ”evighet” /eternity/. <br />Carola’s big breakthrough was between the years 1983-1989, because she won a Swedish competition, The Swedish Eurovision Song Contest. Many children have Carola as their idol. When Carola sings she has wind in her hear, and she just shocks everyone. <br />She also plays an instrument, and that is guitar and she has played it for a few years. Carola has a favourite singer and it is Whitney Houston. rightbottom <br />Year 1990 Carola returned to the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest with the song “mitt i ett äventyr” /in the middle of an adventure/ written by Stephan Berg, she did not win but she got second place, and after that she did an album called “Much More”. The last song she did is called “Christmas in Bethlehem”, and that is a religious song, the genre of the song is a Christmas ballad.
