2. St Andrew’s Day
30th November
as celebrated in Poland
The children of Mrs Paveley’s class learnt about the celebrations linked to
Poland’s St Andrew’s Day
3. The children started
with a key ……
…… and were curious
as to what the melted
wax would do when
poured through the
hole.
4. The children wrote: ‘We poured the wax through the keyhole and different things
appeared’
5. ‘When the
hot wax hit
the water it
made
amazing
shapes. But
it was more
exciting
when we
looked at
them in the
dark ………..’
6. We used a torch to look at our shapes and tried to read the future.
We thought this was the best one – Agatha was going to grow into an elegant
lady with her hat and handbag.
7. We think this was saying that Christopher was going to live on an
island somewhere.
8. And we think that someone, in the future, is going to meet up with
the Loch Ness Monster ……..
9. The boys were not too sure about this activity – they
didn’t want to know who they were going to marry!
18. The boys kept their cool
and won in the end but
you can see that everyone
was happy.
A BIG thank you to Mrs
Paveley’s group for taking
part and being such
sports!
