President Letter (
1. President
Dear Mr. Itoemugh R. Dokubo,
On behalf of the SPE Board of Directors, I want to congratulate you on becoming SPE Certified.
You are hereby entitled to add SPEC to your title, and you join an elite membership within the
society. Enclosed is your certificate and lapel pin. We hope you display both proudly. Your name
will also be listed on the professional page at SPE.org, as a Society of Petroleum Engineering
Certified member.
Remember, your SPE Certification requires 16 hours of continued professional development each
year. This development could include section sponsored programs, technical workshops, university
classes, company training, and online study. Just keep a diary of your professional development in
case you are audited.
It is your responsibility to renew your SPE Petroleum Engineering Certification annually. If your
membership type changes from professional to student, you will need to contact
certification@spe.org to renew.
Professionalism is a word that reflects an engineer’s efforts to be exemplary and stand above others.
You have demonstrated the technical knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge to real
industry situation, congratulations on your achievement!
Best regards,
Nathan Meehan
2016 President
