I have foundwithhersupporta way to articulate feelings,anxietiesandthoughtsaboutthis change
process. From a veryconfusedwayof thinkingaboutachange in life, the coachingprocess has
guidedme in the stepsrequiredtotake upthischallenge, notably frominitialideasandplans,toa
realisticandpragmaticdecision-makingprocess,andontohow the firstfew months intothe change
inlife couldappear.
In all her coaching,I foundher to be a verydeepandsensitive listener withanuncanny abilityto
summarise andre-package mythoughtstomake sense of my confused thoughtsandfeelings. And
all the time she encouragedme notto be lostin the dailyplanningof retirement –but insteadto
take a broaderview,andtoopenup possibilitiesfor the future.
Her realismaboutthe impactof thislife change onthe life of the couple wasan eye-openerwhich
has made me anticipate things towhichI hadnot previously givenmuchthought.
She accompaniedme inthisprocessof thinkinganew future – whenI reallyhadno ideaof how to
