In June 2012, a survey showed that 77% of British adults favored remaining a monarchy, while 15% supported transitioning to a republic. Additionally, 53% of respondents believed Prince Charles should not give up his right to the throne for Prince William. Satisfaction ratings indicated a high approval of the Queen and Prince William, while Prince Charles had moderate satisfaction levels.
