4. The challenge: heavy users of healthcare
▪ Chronic diseases affects “everybody” –
20% of population have hypertension in China
▪ Huge burden on health systems –
60 % of health budgets in UK (Primary Care + Hospital sector)
▪ Reactive Healthcare –
First you have to be seriously ill – then we will treat you!
▪ Crowded hospitals –
less time for those in real need

10. How Does This Work In Practice?
Retro Fitting a digital solution onto an existing non digital health care system isn’t always easy.
For four years Dignio has worked closely with the City of Oslo successfully deploying our solution in four of their
primary care districts plus several dozen other municipalities in Norway.
During this time we have gained valuable practical experience about what it takes to successfully implement
Remote Patient Care across a wide range of medical conditions.
The key is to be “disruptive but not disrupting”.
Disruptive meaning free yourself from past limitations and rethink how we offer high quality healthcare services
using today’s technology and reducing or eliminating all the workflow friction which can get in the way of delivering
cost effective, patient centric care.
At the same time not disrupting, in fact enhancing, the most important relationship, the one between the clinician
and the patient.
11. What Was The Outcome In Norway?
▪ 32% Fewer hospital admissions
▪ Outpatient consultations down 42%
▪ 39% Less hospital bed days
▪ 59% Less home nursing
▪ Numbers are taken from the VIS-study in Oslo Municipality (2016)
12. Adding new functionality - Sleep Monitoring
We all know how important sleep is to mental health.
We have an exciting new device which is being launched in Q3 this year.
It’s non contact, non intrusive, connects to Dignio Prevent and allows us to
detect:
▪ The time the patient goes to bed
▪ The time it takes for them to get to sleep
▪ When REM sleep is reached and the duration
▪ If the patient gets out of bed
▪ If the patient is lying down but not in bed
▪ When the patient gets up in the morning
▪ The patients respiration rate
