It also participates in the Environmental Impact Assessment process. The unit provides HSE services to other technical business units. It faces challenges like a shortage of manpower and other units' unwillingness to collaborate. However, it also has opportunities to generate more revenue and for staff to gain knowledge. The unit carries out various initiatives like safety sensitization campaigns and incorporating HSE into other units' activities. Staff also look to improve their expertise through training

etc. Also, it is dependent on
FAD for payroll issues.

CLOSING REMARKS
HSE being a horizontal division cuts across all other
divisions.
Everyone applies HSE subconsciously/consciously
from as little as chores at home to as much as
Multi-billion-dollar projects. Which is the reason
we don’t get to buy new utensils daily or go to the
hospital to treat repeated occurrences of cuts,
burns and bruises or other accidents arising from
carelessness at workplace.
In all we do , Safety remains of utmost importance.
So goes the saying “if it’s not safe, do not do it”.
