The Municipality of Lingig in Surigao del Sur, Philippines will activate its 24/7 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) from August 3 to August 10 for the 101st Araw ng Lingig celebrations. The EOC will be located at the municipal grounds and staffed by members of the SERTSS Lingig team. As mandated by law, the municipal LDRRMC must activate the EOC before, during, and after any emergency to ensure public welfare. The objectives are to prepare the EOC building for any emergencies and provide medical assistance to the public if needed. BACKGROUND:
Emergency Operations Center is a centralized location of emergency response and
recovery support during the incidents.
RA 10121 mandate that all LDRRMC has to create the Local disaster risk reduction and
management office and transform its function to emergency operations center (EOC) before,
during and after emergency to ensure the welfare of the public.
Therefore to have standby office staff and rescuers to respond in any medical assistance
need by the public.
OBJECTIVE:

 To assist the public in case of medical emergency.
