Instrumentation installations are put back into service. This varies from Lighting and
Small power, Fire & Gas to Telephone and PA systems. Cat B authorized to Isolate LV
circuits and live equipment. Duties include EX Inspections and the updating and
amending the ATEX database using the Arnlea system I then work as Charge-hand and
liaise with the Management team to complete specific tasks. As part of the Maintenance
team we carry out fault finding & install/commission new equipment as required.
AMEC LTC Project Britannia Platform March12 – Dec13
The LTC Module was a Pre-Wired Module requiring hook up to the Britannia Platform.
I was part of the Inspection and Testing Dept and then went on to support the
Commissioning Team, Pre Commissioning, Fire & Gas, Instrument, PA, HV and LV
Systems throughout the compression module. I was also involved with Tri-party walk
2. downs before system handovers commenced. As a Cat B Electrical Competent person I
assisted Magma Products when access was required to perform Live Testing during
commissioning. One of my roles on LTC was to input the various E&I documentation
into Go Completions software which was used on the project.
Amec Gaupe Project BG Armada & BG North Everest March11-Feb12
On the Armada Project I was involved in the Installation and Testing of the Fire
and Gas, Telephone and PA, Production Control and LV power circuits on the
new Gaupe Pipeline. I gained a sound understanding of the ISSOW system.
Being a Permit Authority I was also involved in raising Work Permits and TRAs
At the North Everest I was part of a team that installed a new Accommodation
Block. It was essentially split into 6 sections after construction in a yard and
reassembled offshore. It involved rerunning pre made ends back into position
and retesting and termination. After this we completed the installation and
commissioning of the new life Boat.
