Introduction
Webinar platforms are effective teaching and learning
aids, particularly in the COVID-19 era and even after
COVID-19. Librarians are both teachers and learners,
as they assist various library users in order to meet
their needs while also learning to enhance their skills
in order to provide better service. In order to properly
serve library users, LIS workers should use webinar
technologies to update their knowledge and abilities.
When considering the advantages of online seminars
today, it is clear that the hurdles should not deter
librarians around the world from advocating for their
complete adoption and use in all learning institutions.
Conclusion
Webinars for LIS professionals are focused on
important topics that will help their institutions' library
services improve. Webinars have evolved into
acceptable learning venues for all disciplines;
librarians, as knowledge custodians and guardians for
other professionals, cannot afford to be left behind.
Library and information professionals must be at the
forefront of attending and organizing webinar
trainings, given their information duties.
