The National Archives of
Fiji is a Fijian
government agency
under the Ministry of
Education, Heritage, and
Arts. It was established
in 1954. The agency is
responsible for archiving
records of the Fijian
government.
Its name changed to the
National Archives of Fiji
in 1971, shortly after
Fiji's independence.
The National Library
of Uganda was
established by an Act
of Parliament in 2003
with a mandate to
collect, preserve and
make accessible the
recorded memory of
Uganda. Copies of all
works published in
Uganda have to be
deposited with the
National Library.
This system is called
“Legal Deposit”
