have access to speeds between 2mbps and 23.9mbps)
• 9,000+ eligible businesses currently with access to Superfast Broadband
(in the ‘white’ area)
• 100+ business sites with access to Superfast Broadband
• 454 SMEs received business support related to the exploitation of
Superfast Broadband access.
• 900+ structures have been built and providing service
PROGRESS UPDATE
4. Superfast Extension programme (up to £7.34m) funded equally by
LCC/BDUK started in early 2016 being delivered by BT and is due to
complete by March 2018
The delivery is based around 3 phases and involves 12,000 premises (1500
+ post codes)
The SEP will be more expensive as a result of delivery in the hardest to
reach areas involving more build and use of Fibre to the Premise (FTTP)
