- Much more competition than UK
- Funding uses decided very locally (parish level)
- Highly efficient installs with other utilities
- National level planning
- Added value of fibre solutions well understood
- Funding supporting duct installation
- Not hung up on state aid issues

UK Market Needs
• Wake up!
- More than one/two effective infrastructure providers
- Access to national backhaul resources
- Broad acknowledgement of long term direction
- National planning – possibly not just BT access
UK needs more competition
- Separate Openreach management/reporting
- Remove fibre business rates for 5 years
- Encourage altnets
