“World’s first Arabic
Encyclopedia on
Islamic Finance
launched at WIBC 2015”
UAE, Dec 10, 2015 – On the
Sidelines of WIBC, Aafaq Centre
for Research in Islamic Economy
launches its world’s first Islamic
Finance Encyclopedia in Arabic.
ACRIE, a UAE based Research
Centre, subsidiary of aafaq Islamic
Finance, has taken part in the world
Islamic Banking conference- WIBC,
held in Bahrain on 1-3 December,
2015.
ACREIE launched on the sidelines of
this global event, its main product:
The Islamic Finance Encyclopedia
issued in Arabic.
The Aafaq Center for Research in
Islamic Economy (ACRIE) was
launched in 2015 to provide
multidisciplinary researches and
reports in Islamic Economy through
strategic partnerships with
multilateral institutions, universities
and institutes. ACRIE is a platform

ACRIE selected the 22nd
Annual World Islamic
Banking Conference (WIBC

aafaq To establish College of Islamic
Finance in Malaysia
UAE, December, 2015 - aafaq
Islamic Finance, a leading
provider of Islamic finance
products and services in the
UAE, has recently signed a
Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with
Khansforge International Sdn.
Bhd., an international business
resources company. The
agreement was signed by Dr.
Mahmoud Abdulaal, CEO of
aafaq Islamic Finance and His
Highness Prince Sulaiman
Shah Ibni Sultan Salahuddin
Abdul Aziz Shah, Chairman
and Director of Khansforge
International. The newly-
formed alliance is expected to
result in stronger collaborative
efforts in Islamic Finance
research initiatives and the
establishment of the Institute
of Finance & Management in
Malaysia (IFM).
According to aafaq Islamic Finance, the
signing of the new agreement demonstrates
the company’s eagerness to extend its
investment partnerships in Malaysia
through its affiliated subsidiary, IFM. The
MoU represents a cooperative framework
between aafaq and Khansforge across the
fields of education, research and human
resources development. The partnership
will help explore and identify various areas
of mutual collaboration based on relative
strengths and complementarities.
Dr. Mahmoud Abdulaal, CEO of aafaq
Islamic Finance, said: “These are truly
exciting times for Islamic finance as more
people are now being made aware of the
key benefits and advantages of utilizing
Islamic-based finance tools, products and
services. Our new partnership with
Khansforge International demonstrates our

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed
Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
UAE Vice President and
Prime Minister and Ruler
of Dubai, to make Dubai
the Capital of the Islamic
Economy, IFM issued its
first series of Islamic
Finance training manuals
to cover one of the main
pillars of HH initiative.
The training manuals will
soon be in the market in
both languages: Arabic
and English with very
affordable prices.

IFM and ACRIE rejoin 2016 edition of World Islamic
Banking Conference
After its very successful participation
in the World Islamic Banking
Conference in Bahrain, which was
held on 1-3 December, 2015, ACRIE
signs a new agreement with Global
Advisors to take part in the upcoming
2016 conference.
ACRIE prides itself on being a
leading research center through its
pioneering products namely the First
world Islamic Finance Encyclopedia
in Arabic and the first bilingual
Islamic Finance directory issued
jointly with Union of Arab Banks,
Lebanon.
The Center, in supporting the initiative of
the global network of information and
education on the Islamic Economy, will
conduct thematic, multidisciplinary
research addressing strategic and practical
research questions in Islamic Economy.
Its main mission and scope is to develop a
competitive portfolio of research and
establish an international platform for
experts and practitioners and academics

On the sidelines of the World Islamic
Banking conference- WIBC
December 2nd
, Institute of Finance &
Management signs an exclusive
agency agreement with Al Imtithal
for Islamic Finance, a leading Islamic
Finance Training institution in
Tunisia.
Al Imtithal for Islamic Finance was
established in 2011 to fill in the gaps
in the Tunisian area after a huge need
for Islamic finance training raised in
the country.
Al Imtithal will provide all IFM
professional certification courses to
the public as well as institutions in
Tunisia.
Tunisia has so far two main Islamic
banks providing shari’a compliant
products that are Zeitouna Bank and
al Baraka Bank.
