Group hunting strategy refers to the collaborative efforts of individuals within a group to hunt for prey. In the context of social media growth, group hunting strategy can be used to describe the process of building a community of individuals who work together to grow their social media presence. This can involve sharing each other's content, engaging with each other's followers, and promoting each other's accounts. By leveraging the power of a collective effort, individuals can amplify their reach and increase their chances of success in the competitive world of social media.

3. Our Goal
Objective
As an EdTech startup, we sell courses and are
currently seeking new users. We are
searching for communities that we can
approach, nurture aspirants, and sell our
courses to.
4. Here, we will discuss where we can find
different communities, and for each community,
our approach will vary. In some communities,
we may need to approach directly, while in
others, we may need to act as students and
market our product.
6. Facebook Group
As we are already working with Facebook
groups, we are knowledgeable about many
aspects of Facebook. However, here are some
methods we use to find new groups on
Facebook:
7. Finding New Facebook Groups
Searching for the exam name directly is the best
way to find the maximum number of groups
available on Facebook. This method helps us
discover almost all of the relevant groups
Search by Exam Name Relevant Names/Hashtag
If there are still groups remaining, we can search
for them by using hashtags or by adding
alternative names of the exam. For example, for
UGC NET, we can search for hashtags, or search
for alternate names such as UGC NET books,
aspirants, free courses etc.
9. The Insight
Telegram is the most important platform to
find a large number of aspirants at one
place. Most aspirants use Telegram because
it has fewer limitations and a high group
join capacity, making it easy for us to target
a large audience in one place.
10. How to find?
Easiest Way
The easiest way to find Telegram
channels is by searching for the
name of the exam directly on
Telegram and joining the exam
discussion group community.
This way, we can message users
directly.
11. Smart Way
If we type the exam name and search for
the Telegram group name, we get a long
list of Telegram channels and groups.
Some groups are deleted, but most of
them are active. By doing this, we can
directly join and approach aspirants.
13. WhatsApp Groups
Finding WhatsApp groups can be difficult at
first, but once we find them, it's easy to
connect with aspirants. However, we can still
use WhatsApp directories available on Google
to help us. But keep in mind that those groups
are only available for popular exams like CSIR
NET and IIT JAM.
14. Challenges faced
By simply searching for the exam name
+ WhatsApp group link, we can get a list
of WhatsApp groups. However, the only
problem we face is the WhatsApp group
limit, where we cannot join more than
256 members. Therefore, we
continuously try to join the group, in
case someone leaves.
17. What is Quora Space?
Quora Space is a new term that is similar to
Facebook groups, where students can come together
to communicate and solve their issues. It's growing
rapidly, and students are increasingly moving from
Facebook to Quora Space because it provides more
features. Therefore, we should aim to be early
movers in Quora Space. Our UGC team already
started working on this

Engaging with
students
We have to upvote/like,

engage with students in
order to build a connection

To gain trust, we

Market our
product
When someone asks for the
best course or a similar
term, we have to highlight
our product.
20. I have discovered two methods, but I
have not found a source through which
we can connect with the user.
However, there may be a possible way
to connect with the user through some
other means.
5. Other
Methods
21. 1. Youtube Comments
We can check the comments of our
competitors, and when we find an
interested candidate who is interested in
our course, we can reply to them with a
link to our YouTube channel or visit their
account and send them an email if their
email address is available.
22. 2. Play Store
We can use a different app to approach a
large number of users. I have noticed that
students are looking for free test series
and solved previous year question papers.
Therefore, we can provide them with a
free app in exchange for their email
address, which will allow us to
communicate with them more easily.
