To set up extended time for quizzes in Blackboard for students who require accommodations, instructors first edit the quiz options and go to the Test Availability Exceptions section. They then add the students who need more time and select their names. Instructors then click Submit and enter the extended time amount before continuing with the normal quiz setup.

To begin the process of setting up
an extended time quiz for a
student that requires an
accommodation, locate the quiz,
click the drop-down arrow next to
the quiz name, and click “Edit the
Test Options.”

Scroll down to the “Test
Availability Exceptions” section
and click the “Add User or
Group” button.

4. Extended Quiz Time
Locate the student that requires
the accommodation and select the
checkbox next to the student’s
name. Scroll down.
Note: You can select more than
one student.

5. Extended Quiz Time
Click the “Submit”
button.

6. Extended Quiz Time
Click the checkbox
and enter the
appropriate time
here.
Select the “Auto Submit”
checkbox.
When finished with the
settings, scroll down continue
with the quiz setup as normal.
