  1. Shared Services has the unique and important role of providing a balance of service and control for the Bank and for our partners. We help to provide an excellent customer experience but that being said, we can’t just aim for happy customers. If we become too focused on service, we lose focus on risk and revenue leakage. Delivering customer excellence while also managing risk and profit is the important balance – one that our partners and Scotiabank’s Executive team counts on us to deliver Scotiabank is increasingly holding us accountable for the balance between service and risk. It is critical that we balance between servicing our partners and helping the Bank manage profit and risk. Our dual role is very important The Canadian bank is very focused on the CVP core strategies and going back to Banking Basics Some of SSG’s priorities include - FATCA, fulfillment, driving efficiencies, risk management, fraud, compliance and consistency Consistency across all of SSG will allow us to leverage our strengths across Canada and in our international locations We are successful when we are aligned to our business partners and are achieving operational excellence without losing focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
