2. The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the
Lazy Dog….
Although there is no exact number of words in English language yet but the count says
Oxford Dictionary of English 2005 edition contains 355,000 words, phrases, and
definitions and there are 988,968 words in Merriam-Webster. These are made just by
putting twenty six alphabets from A to Z orderly combination of one or more
alphabets for a meaningful purpose that is to communicate our feelings, thoughts and
intentions.
July 1st 1984, I started taking lesson for typing class, then there were no computers
available and after a week I was given a sentence to type “The quick brown fox jumps
over the lazy dog”. One hour in the morning and one hour in the evening while
coming back from a fruit juice processing company Shezan where I was working as a
trainee during my summer holidays, I type this sentence countless number of times.
Then I did not realize what it was doing to me. But actually it laid a very strong
foundation for me to understand the basis of innovation and product development.
Innovation and product development is all about connecting dots to makes them
meaningful. Imagine a child age three is taught alphabets; one can do simply by
showing all twenty six alphabets and ask him or her to remember them or give him or
her dots to combine and make geometric shapes to build and remember the
alphabets. This is my back to basics way of learning and making new things.
