Work Responsibilities :
• Managing and performing SCADA / DMS project activities for projects awarded to outside
contractors, preparing reports ,designing, plans and specifications, assisting with the development,
negotiation and management of the SCADA / DMS projects for the outside consultants.

- Co-ordinating with distributions area sections and transmission section to arrange for
annual maintenance shutdown in order to avoid any accidental power cut.

Engineers in order to do their routine or emergency work taking in mind implementing

SYSTEM MANAGER DUTIES:-
• First of all preparing all points required to connect any particular substation to Scada
system,including analogue , digital and control points.
• Testing the substation end to end test and issuing a fault report for any kind of system failure.
• Creating and Updating the Engineering functions of the system for monitoring the operation of
the system. For an example , if new s/stn is going to be connected to the SCADA system, all digital
, analogue and control points has to be created and tested by “end to end “ test.
• Doing on line data base amendment which involves in :-
a) Amend Tip,Fes, RTU and point data of any type
b) Add new RTUs and points data to system
c) Rebuild Tip database and down load it to the tip
d) Amend and add new calculated points
e) Specify which point values are displayed on the mimic and how they behave
f) Add new reports to or modify the report schedule
g) Reallocated charts recorders to different input or calculated values
h) Examine the archive data placed into database by historic archiving
• Reports configuration and scheduling
• Design and drawing the substations diagrams using CAD program “similar to AutoCad” .
• Follow the error messages that may be encountered during the operation of the system .
• System customization which relates to the diagram construction and data base expansion
of an electrical network.
