2. What’s it for?
By reviewing the literatura of the research being conducted, we will be
able to organise ideas and thoughts and polish.
We will also be able to sinthesize what other researchers have found
and then grasp a clear meaning of the research they conducted.
It is also imprtant to mention that by reviewing the literature you will not
only prevent from remaking research that has already been conducted,
but also help yourself provide new ideas for the research and the
background infromation.
3. Finding resources…
In oder for us to successfully select relevant information, it is necessary
that we ask ourselves the following question : Is this study or article
really relevant to my study or what of relevance may I get from that
article?
We can then use educational journals which are subdevided into a
clasification of three types: Practitioner, Policy, and Research.
Of course we can find crucial information in books and published
literature review. Thus, we’ve got to keep in mind that some books are a
compilation of different research works and that can sure be of much
help to make yourself clear when expressing your ideas and thoughts
4. Using a database…
We also have a database available in order to find reliable and friendly
infromation that can be crucial for our research to be properly stated
and realiable, too.
For example, one of the commonest database is the Education
Resources Infromation Centre (ERIC) .
Another database to find really realiable and up-to-date information is
Worldcat that you can find in google schoolar by typing the name of the
page in the browser.
Finally, we also have libraries that have got datebases such as Wilson
Select and Education Abstracts that are totally free-access.
