1. HOSTED BY: CEDAR KEY ARTS CENTER,
CEDAR KEYS NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE,
FRIENDS OF THE LOWER SUWANNEE
NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE AND UF/IFAS
NATURE COAST BIOLOGIC AL STATION
Cedar Key Artist-in-Residence (CKAIR) offers visual
artists the opportunity to pursue their artistic
discipline while being surrounded by the pristine and
inspiring landscape, wildlife and nature that Seahorse
Key offers. Selected artists stay on Seahorse Key
and live in the historic Lighthouse for up to one
week. Participants can work in peace of an island
environment, surrounded by seagrass meadows and
abundant wildlife. We hope these interactions will
spark interest and curiosity on both the part of the
artist and the scientific community.
