2. What is House style of Metal
Hammer?
House style is the specific convention and layout magazines use
to make the magazine be familiarised by the audience.
Techniques such as Format, Grid layout, Colours, Type of Font
and etc. help the above purpose.
My chosen magazine ‘Metal Hammer’ uses the obvious
conventions to portray the genre of the music magazine which is
‘Heavy metal’ through the use of bold colours such as red which
signifies danger, blood and anger which is evidentially portrayed
though the music. Also uses white to make the red stand out and
to signify purity which goes against the
Red signification this also
supports the idea of
‘breaking rules’ what rock
Is about;being rebellious.
