I’ve started to work immediately after finishing school in Dec 1975. My interest in programming started during
the 80’s when the first PC’s became available in South Africa. I started with BASIC Programming and later on
TURBO BASIC coding. After evaluation and tests during 1988, I had my first exposure and formal training in
COBOL at Emplotran Computer College. My final exam results exceeded 90%. I’ve developed and maintained
COBOL programs on the Bank’s legacy Mainframe Systems, through the implementation, support and
development of the PeopleSoft HRMS system and finally the conversion and implementation of the SAP HRMS
system.
