2. First ERP In KRCL was brought by Ex-CMD & Ex-Dir(P)
and developed by of M/s Tata Info-tech and Infrastructure
procured from M/s Digital Equipments (Server, Operating
System) and Connectivity OFC Network and Infromix
Database.
All Application in ERP was designed in 4GL, Text Base
system
Office Automation was Text based “Uniplex”.
Co-ordination & Managing of different vendors parallel
was challenging.
Staff are joined in EDP Dept with different dept.
backgrounds like Eng, Mechanical, Accounts and almost
all are Diploma holders without computer background this
was challenge.

Providing Training on programming
language on 4GL, C, Cobol & Database and
awareness of New Technology to Staff is
one of the challenging.
Today we are independently developing
J2EE applications, developing web based
systems & maintaining in-house JRAP
applications.

We have very less Man-power and IT Dept
is enabler and Managerial responsibility
become more.
We are mainly dependent on Men,
Machinery, Technology, & Process. In
KRCL we can easily adopt any New
Technology easily without any refusal /
hesitation

year 2011 is called ECS.

15 Years old Infrastructure (Alpha servers) was
replaced with M/s HP India in the year 2012 our
Infrastructure was updated with latest Technology
on Leased Mode.
In the year 2011 DR at MAO site setup was
establish to switchover business quickly (within 5
Min).
Apart from JRAP, other applications like ECS,
LMS, LRDMS, Website , On-line recruitment etc.
E-Office (DMS) implemented developed by NIC.

For “staff” We have to motivate, Training,
updating their skills time to time.
For “Systems” We have to update in Time
For “Process” We have to verify & check in time.
For “Technology” in time up-dation and follow
the best Practices.
People , Process & Technology should be
measured “Time to Time” for Managing smooth
function of “Business”.
13. During the journey of last 25 years IT Dept
got two prestigious awards .
1) Great Mind Challenge for business award
2009 for most Innovating Solutions Using
Information Management Software by IBM.
2) Award for Excellence in IT, in the category
of “Travel, Tourism & Hospitality” by
Computer Society of India in year 2011.
