2. SITUATION:
• Preparedness and risk reduction for natural
catastrophes that include volcanic
eruptions, earthquakes and their resultant
effect like tsunamis specifically designed for
Filipinos whether in the government and
private or common citizens.
3. LOCAL DRRM OFFICER
You are a local DRRM officer of Muntinlupa City and
tasked to ensure disaster preparedness this year
among public schools in the city. You are to crate any
of the following that will be used to educate and train
elementary and highschool students in preparation
for an earthquake so they will know what to do
during an earthquake.
4. WHAT IS NATURAL DISASTER?
A natural disaster is a major adverse
event resulting from natural
processes of the Earth. A natural
disaster can cause loss of lives and
property damage.
7. TSUNAMI
■ A very high, large wave in the ocean that is
usually caused by an earthquake under the
sea and that can cause great destruction
when it reaches land.
8. VOLCANIC ERUPTION
■ A volcanic eruption occurs when hot
materials from the earth's interior are
thrown out of a volcano.
9. TYPHOON
■ An extremely large, powerful, and
destructive storm that occurs especially in
the region of the Philippines or the China
sea.
13. 1. Conduct a seminar about preparation in natural disaster.
■ It is one of the most important thing to do because students will be inform and aware
about natural disasters. They will gather knowledge and information that can help
each and everyone to be prepared.
14. 2. Manage Natural Disaster Drills such as earthquake drills etc.
■ In this, students will be able to know what they are going to do when natural disaster is
about to happen since they experience or already practice the situation.
15. 3. Develop an action plan and disaster supply kits.
■ This is significant to students for them to be prepared when someone experience
accidents.
16. 4. BE AWARE of your surroundings.
■ Everyone should be aware and updating in anything that will happen.

■ This the ultimate power and strength you will have before, during and after natural
disaster.
