Persuasive Essay For Grade 9 Homework
If something's broken, you fix it, but if it's damaged beyond repair, then you get rid of it for something better. Then you brag to your friends that you
got a new one. That's what my grade thinks. Pride, collectively known as the worst sin. At least we do something during the productively, unlike the
Sloth grade. On the last day of every year, we have a ceremony to determine which grade the newborns will be possibly transferred to. It takes place in
the community building, a crumbling brick structure that was created before the war. Shocked that it still stands, the government deemed it safe
enough for use. The interior has is covered in torn carpet, molding cement floors, and chipped paint, but that hasn't stopped anyone yet from using

Persuasive Essay On Letter Grades
Historically, letter grades have served as a tool to rate educational intelligence. By looking at the progression of a student's grades over time, people
are able to determine whether or not the students are developing skills in certain areas. Using a one letter grade to determine progress has received
many critiques as a common system used in America's education. Critics claim letter grades cause students motivation and creativity to decrease
because grades shift students focus from learning the material to obtaining a good grade. Letter grades were introduced into American schools in
1911. The grading system was originally created in Europe in the 17th century as a means to rank students based on tests. By the 1930s and 40s, most

The pressure to uphold a grade motivates students to look for and memorize the information on upcoming tests. Furthermore, students will be more
likely to opt for projects and classes with more basic content to learn because easier classes increase the student's likelihood of receiving an A. To
students, the easy way out is the right way since the success of gaining an A on transcripts has become more important than learning.
One example demonstrating that grades lead to limited learning of material, can be illustrated by a study that was conducted of students, some of
whom were graded. One group of students was told about being graded and the other group was not. The group who was "told they'd be graded on
how well they learned a social studies lesson had more trouble understanding the main point of the text than did students who were told that no grades
would be involved" (Kohn). This experiment shows how students concerned getting a good grade detracts from the students overall understanding. In
my experience, students have so much homework, activities, and pressure to excel that it becomes challenging to learn topics outside of those being
assigned. For example, in order to complete history worksheets, students do not always read the passages to find the answers, but rather skim the
passage for keywords

Persuasive Essay On The Education System
Every student is bound to cheat at one point during their educational career. The reason why is to get a higher grade. Educational Institutions value
high grades rather than to value learning, that is what turns students to cheat. Students are taught on how to take tests not learn about the material. But
that is to name one of the many factors that cause the current education system to fail. Therefore, students are not getting the highest quality of
education possible that is essentially the goal of every educational institution.
Standardized testing is excessive and does not represent how much a student has learned, not only it puts pressure on students it also puts pressure on
teachers. On top of standardized testing, a lot of schools are overcrowded thus decreases the attention that is needed for each student in order to
succeed. Not only there is a problem with testing and classroom sizes, teachers also are not well educated and prepared for the expectations made by
larger classroom sizes and the pressure to educate students so that they can achieve high test scores. To further acknowledge the flaws of the current
education system, institutions should not only gauge a student's academic achievement through their grades, it should also be through progress
throughout a broader lifespan. Grades and standardized tests only capture a frame on this lifespan therefore academic achievement should also be
measured through the improvement and progress of a student's learning.

Persuasive Essay About High School
Starting school when you're four years old changes tremendously to when you're seventeen or eighteen. There are a few things about school that remain
the same, but many more changes are made throughout the years. Gradually homework gets harder and more complex, teachers change, different
activities are added, and much more. Elementary is just the base of what your life will be like in the future. High School prepares you more for the rest
of your life and is when you individually get to have options and decisions to make. Elementary school consists of learning vocabulary (words),
making friends, basic math, and playing outside for recess. The classes you take in Elementary are mandatory. You have to take Math, Science,
Language Arts, P.E., Music, Social Studies, Art, and Reading without have a choice on which class to take. There are no complex levels of
classes that you can take. Everyone is in the same class and it's usually with the same teacher. For example, your third grade teacher would teach
all your classes to you and you would stay in the same room for almost the whole day besides for Art, Music, and P.E. There are normally three
teachers for each grade which means your entire grade would be split up into three groups and those are the groups you'll be with the whole year.
Recess and lunch was the only times you could see your other friends that are in your grade. Everyone in first through sixth grade do not have any
classes together, it is strictly grade by

Persuasive Essay On After School Programs
After school, from 3 to 6 p.m, is a critical period of time in a child's life. After school programs help keep kids safe and inspire them to learn during
that period of time. After school programs are organized programs that youth can participate in outside of a traditional school day. Enrolling children in
afterschool programs would provide them with benefits that unenrolled children would not receive, such as reduce risky behavior and promote physical
health. After school programs provide a safe environment for children, while positively impacting their academics, safety, and their future. Generally,
after school programs are ran by schools, faith–based, or community–based nonprofit organizations. Most programs are held directly after school, but
can also be held on weekends, over breaks or vacations, or on evenings. It is important to define what the purpose of the program is going to be,
whether it be academics, sports, special interests, or cultural activities. Some other key factors of an after school program are high levels of children
involvement, a mix of academic and non academic skill building activities, and positive relationships between staff and children. Successful programs
have dedicated staff and structured routines for the children. When after school programs are ran successfully, the children involved will receive
positive benefits and skills they will be able to use to better their future. In communities today, 11.3 million children take care of

Persuasive Essay About 6th Grade
In 6th grade so far it is awesome. In 6th grade we can have our phones out at lunch in the morning when the school bell didn't ring yet and after school
when the bell rings. And so far I been keeping track of my hills bills cause now when it is starting to be the end of the school year there is a lot of
more celebration and talent shows of where we have to pay hills bills. And when we want to check out a book we have to have a pass and we can only
check out 2 or 1 books for every student in Jefferson. And if we want to play a game on the computers you have to pay 7 hills bills or if its Friday and
you have good grades you can play and computer game for free cause it is Friday.
Then when it starts getting in the middle of the school year theirs

Persuasive Essay On Education Reform
Educational reform is yet to be perfected. Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain
educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. "In 40–plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the
knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they'll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will
be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released" (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be
reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State
Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year.
The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be
telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational
reforms are yet to be perfected.
One point of view a person could have about educational reform is that students throughout the country should all have the same high–quality
standards. Issues and Controversies states,"All states should adhere to similar academic standards so that American youth are

Persuasive Essay On Online Classes
Andrew Simoncelli once said, "Students who take online classes must be motivated, independent learners." This is relevant because independence
and motivation is what it takes to succeed in an online course. Online learning will not only expand what students learn, but will also bring a number
of positive changes in the way students are taught. Courses online have changed everyone's look at learning all over the world. It allows more
opportunities for observers to learn online rather than learning in class. Another affirmative of taking an online course is flexibility and convenience.
Students who would like to experience some of these ideas should look into an online class! In many schools, online classes are becoming more
available to students. Recent studies show that the use of online classes has been rapidly increasing over the past three years. Currently, there are a
total of 6,700,000 students enrolled in all different variations of courses
("Online Classes"). Due to the increase of young adults taking online courses, researchers have been able to collect data to compare the grades of
online learners to the grades of those learning in the classroom. According to the article published by the University of the Potomac, 90% of students
will successfully reach higher achievements beyond what traditional in–class students will attain ("Online Classes"). Taking an online course can help a
student accomplish anything they would like to do that is education related, such as getting ahead in certain classes, finishing high school early, or
maybe even college. Another plus to taking courses online is being able to work at your own pace. Researchers are finding that the slowest student
takes five times as long to learn as the fastest ("Online Classes"). Lectures and other materials are electronically sent to the student, who will then read
them and complete assignments, which then allows them to do the homework when they would like to and at the speed they learn things ("10
Advantages").
Most students find courses online better than in–class learning. Now even some schools are saying yes to online learning! It is a big money saver
because the school or college will not have to employ thousands of

Why Grades Are Important Essay
Yes, grades are an effective means of motivating students to do their best work. If there were no grades why the students would like to work hard? Do
not they want to enjoy luxury and comforts in their youth? Surely, students want to enjoy their youth with luxury and comforts. They can not judge
themselves because they have no scale of judgment. It is the instructor only who judges the students comparatively and gives grades to them
accordingly. In this way, by receiving their grades students recognize their positions in the class. If their positions came to be low, they then try to
achieve higher positions by working hard because they want to achieve their goal of becoming great persons. As it is the nature of all the human beings

The farmer does his best to make his fields fit for better growth of the crops only in the hope of getting a good variety of crops so that they may
help him in earning high money. If he will not be able to get high money by producing a good variety of crops he will probably increase his
working hours to achieve his purpose because he does his work only for earning money to live in. Similar is the case with the students. Students
work because they want their instructor to give them high grades. Their future career depends on their grades they have made at this level. If they
got high grade their future will be bright because everyone gives credit to grades. Therefore, if students will get credit for their work they will
work even better for getting more and more credit. Otherwise, they will shirk work hard. Furthermore, God will also give rewards to those people
who have done good deeds in this world. That is why; all people do their best of doing good deeds so that they may be able to get reward from God
on their sacrifices and hardships. If there would be no reward from God, no one would want to do good deeds by facing hardships. Every one would
be free to committing sins or other bad deeds which will results in turmoil of the world. Same is the case with the students. If the instructor gives them
grades for their individual work they will

Happy: My Sixth Grade Experience
"Happy" It was two years ago. I was finally in sixth grade and I knew this year would go great. I had finally made it to 6th grade. I was determined
to have a great year. The year got off to a decent enough start. There were three 6th grade teachers and I got the easiest one, Mrs Miller.
Unfortunately my two best friends Will and Brandon were both in the same class but it wasn't my class. I was determined to find friends in my
own class. I made friends with this one kid named Misael who was new to the school that year. Now Will especially wasn't too happy with that but
eventually Misael started hanging out with this other guy named Seth so that took care of itself. My friend situation was okay. At least for now...
"I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space... Because I'm happy..." (Williams) Mrs Miller was a really fun teacher. She didn't give us tons of
homework and she certainly never gave us homework over the weekends unlike the other teachers. We did a lot of fun projects and math wasn't to
hard for the most part. The only problem was that when she was teaching she would remember something that reminded her of something and then she
would go on half an hour long tangents about it especially during social studies. Like one time we started by talking about verbs and ended talking
about slaughterhouses! They were usually interesting but when I told my mom she was concerned I wasn't learning enough in class. Infact, my mom
dislikes her to this day. My teacher also didn't

Persuasive Speech On Too Much Homework
Everyday I wake up and get ready for yet another gruesome school day. As I do this, I find myself filled with stress, anxiety, and honestly just a pure
hatred, for the massive amount of homework that is going to pile up as the day drags on. Is that really how it how it should be? I personally feel that
students are being forced under a lot of pressure because of the overwhelming amounts of homework that is assigned to them. Before you begin with the
eyerolls and rebuttals as to why homework is important to our education, let me just I agree with you! Homework isn't entirely useless, and it has many
great qualities, but the immense amounts tend to be too much for us to bear. Too much homework can really be a problem for students, some have

Yes, I understand that sometimes I need more help on certain topics and sometimes students do need more help with something, but I think that
teachers should still have more of a limit to how much homework they can assign, given the fat that they are only one of the seven other classes we
have to take and that's not including other out–of–school activities and clubs we are taking part in.
Along with homework being too repetitive, it can also be damaging to our physical and mental health. Fow example, sleep. So many students, not
only in my school, are losing a lot of sleep due to all of the homework, as I said before, that they have to complete after arriving home. For me, after
getting home from a sporting event at midnight, showering, doing chores, probably eating, doing my homework, and preparing for the next day of
school, it is usually sometime around 3 o'clock at night before I actually crawl into bed. That's ridiculous! A Lot like my elders (teacher, parents,
grandparents etc.) are always nagging about us staying up all night scrolling on Instagram or Twitter and watching Youtube, I think they should also be
doing something about the insane amounts of homework that we have keeping us up all night. My parents don't let me have my phone in my room at
night because they think/know that I will be up all night playing on it, but

a unique and different topic that would be appreciated by every listener including their instructors. Before choosing any topic, you must keep in mind
that the subject area of the topic should be the one you are well–informed about and can research it more to cover every dimension of it. You can also
use light stories, illustrations, related examples and quotes as tools to make your speech more effective. A few of the topics that you can select for
making persuasive speeches in college may include:
1.Is online education equally beneficial like traditional classroom mode of learning?

Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been evolving, there are changes that have made
schooling harder, and some changes that have made schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and
their own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make learning more convenient, or are they
unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the
reason, that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research.
During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads.
Many students, throughout the long school days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they just
don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to
check out a laptop you have to leave your phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of the
iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience to them.
Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my CIS comp, CIS world history, and my

Persuasive Essay On Online Education
Online education is helping many students get a better education. This can be for many reasons. Some reasons could include things like a more
flexible schedule. Of course their are some that believe that online schools are not a good option because they do not offer students face to face time
with teachers, but online schools can be a great way to educate the children of tomorrow because it allows for students in rural areas to get the same
education as somebody in the city and the flexible nature of online school allows students to have more time to be with their family, friends and to do
the activities they love.
One of the great things about online education is that it gives students in rural areas the same education as those in large urban areas. This is because
of many things but most importantly it is because online systems allow for more courses then a small town would be able to provide (Orgill, Jason,
and Douglas Hervey). Having more courses is important because it gives students the opportunity to take deep dives into areas that they are very
interested in. This is an opportunity that many students that live in rural areas don't get because there school simply does not have enough students to
provide those courses. Giving students in rural areas the same course opportunities as those in urban areas is just one of the reasons online education is
so important.
Another great thing about online education is that allows student athletes to have enough time with their families while also putting huge amounts
of time into training and school. The reason athletes get the time they need is because at an online school "you work at your own pace" And on
your own schedule (Snyder, Tom). I know from personal experience being a student athlete in a brick and mortar school is difficult. You wake up
early try and finish your homework, then go directly to school. Then after school you go to training and then more training then maybe you go to the
gym and then finally you get home and you are so tired you just fall into bed. This is really tough because you get hardly any time to spend with your
family and friend. In an online school system you can do your work wherever you are and whenever you have time. This

6th Grade Graduation
My 6th Grade Graduation
After 6 years in elementary school, it was finally time to celebrate graduating from elementary school. It was not only a happy time graduating from
elementary, but also at the same time not a fun thing to do. It was the last day of school, the beginning of summer break, and the weather was sunny
and warm. Everyone in the multi use room were getting their breakfast and eating on tables with their friends. I was sitting at a table with my friends,
eating my breakfast, sitting next to me was my friends Eduard, Marcus, and Erik. While everyone was eating breakfast, our two 6th grade teachers
were presenting a slideshow of pictures and events that happened throughout the year such as pictures from science camp, pictures of working in the
school garden, pictures of field trips, and other activities we have done throughout the year.

also got it signed by my teacher. In my yearbook, people wrote mostly things that said goodbye and have a great summer. After that, I said goodbye
to my friends and went home, but before everyone left, my teacher gave everyone a small, blue envelope with her name on it. While traveling back

Persuasive Essays : Persuasive Essay
When I began this class, I loved to write persuasive essays. I loved to write about my own opinions and I was quite good at convincing people to agree
with my stand points. To convince others to agree on my point of view was an extraordinary feeling. I am very good at getting my point across and
giving my reasons on why I feel the way I do about a certain situation. I loved writing persuasive essays because I love to read them as well. I love how
persuasive essays have a call–to–action; giving the readers a chance to do something about the situation. I am all for protest and rights for others, if I
believe someone is wrong I will stand my ground and prove that it is wrong. I loved to write persuasive essays because, I am a persuasive person in
life. My opinions matter just as much as everyone else. Writing persuasive essays, is like writing from the soul. To be able to put my all into a piece
and show why it means so much to me. By taking this class, I have come to enjoy the research paper. I feel now as I writer I still love persuasive
writing; just know I include research to help strengthen my opinions. I am an organized writer as well as a descriptive writer, being able to write
things in logical order and having things well explained for a reader. I now understand the meaning and how to write about things I may not always
agree with. Being able to describe my writing, giving more detail is something taking this class has taught me. Giving my readers a better visual is

Persuasive Essay On STEM Education
Everyone wants what is best for their children, right? If that is true, then schools need to start preparing their students for the challenges they will meet
in college and the skills to overcome them. This is best done through the presence of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in middle
and high schools. Through Wisconsin schools furthering their focus on STEM with extracurriculars, students will gain vital skills that are necessary
for human progression, problem–solving and time management skills that can be used in real life, and the students learn how they can apply what is
being taught in the classroom to real obstacles and challenges. It is clear that STEM is a rapidly growing and advancing field that is needed for our
human progression. There are so many different professions that fall under STEM education and many of them impact the world every day. According
to former President Barack Obama "[Science] is more than a school subject, or the periodic table, or the properties of waves. It is an approach to the
world, a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change that world" (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math). Here, former President Obama is talking about how important science is as more than just a school subject; science can be
taken out of school and used to impact many people and change the world. Some may say that there have been other fields in history that became very
popular but

Persuasive Speech On Tablets Vs Textbooks
In the United States alone over 2,300 school districts are using tablets in the classroom and growing better than ever. That's pretty interesting fact I'm a
highschool student that this subject pertains to, I want my education to be the best that it can be and I have an educated opinion that I would like to
share with you. Education is the driving factor of our future so don't you want to make sure that it's the best that it can be? If so, then we're on the
same page. The issue whether tablets or textbooks is a huge decision for us. As I speak I ask you to decide for yourself which tool you would consider.
I believe that schools should use tablets for the K–12th grade instead of textbooks because it's more beneficial to the schools and therefore better for
our future the main reason why tablets are the key to our future is that they are safer, more cost friendly, and helps improve students achievements for
education than textbooks.
Now let's talk about the first of these points: Safety, tablets are safer for children in K–12th grade for many reasons first of all textbooks cause injuries
that tablets don't. Textbooks can cause muscle strains, muscle spasms, and back pain. Also, by carrying on this heavy load it also causes pulling on the
neck muscle which plays along with headaches, shoulder pain, lower back pain, and /or neck and arm pain. According to the US Consumer Product
Safety Commission, "During the 2011–12 school year more than 13,700 kids, aged 5 to 18, were

Persuasive Essay For Grade 9 Homework

  • 1. Persuasive Essay For Grade 9 Homework If something's broken, you fix it, but if it's damaged beyond repair, then you get rid of it for something better. Then you brag to your friends that you got a new one. That's what my grade thinks. Pride, collectively known as the worst sin. At least we do something during the productively, unlike the Sloth grade. On the last day of every year, we have a ceremony to determine which grade the newborns will be possibly transferred to. It takes place in the community building, a crumbling brick structure that was created before the war. Shocked that it still stands, the government deemed it safe enough for use. The interior has is covered in torn carpet, molding cement floors, and chipped paint, but that hasn't stopped anyone yet from using Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Letter Grades Historically, letter grades have served as a tool to rate educational intelligence. By looking at the progression of a student's grades over time, people are able to determine whether or not the students are developing skills in certain areas. Using a one letter grade to determine progress has received many critiques as a common system used in America's education. Critics claim letter grades cause students motivation and creativity to decrease because grades shift students focus from learning the material to obtaining a good grade. Letter grades were introduced into American schools in 1911. The grading system was originally created in Europe in the 17th century as a means to rank students based on tests. By the 1930s and 40s, most ...show more content... The pressure to uphold a grade motivates students to look for and memorize the information on upcoming tests. Furthermore, students will be more likely to opt for projects and classes with more basic content to learn because easier classes increase the student's likelihood of receiving an A. To students, the easy way out is the right way since the success of gaining an A on transcripts has become more important than learning. One example demonstrating that grades lead to limited learning of material, can be illustrated by a study that was conducted of students, some of whom were graded. One group of students was told about being graded and the other group was not. The group who was "told they'd be graded on how well they learned a social studies lesson had more trouble understanding the main point of the text than did students who were told that no grades would be involved" (Kohn). This experiment shows how students concerned getting a good grade detracts from the students overall understanding. In my experience, students have so much homework, activities, and pressure to excel that it becomes challenging to learn topics outside of those being assigned. For example, in order to complete history worksheets, students do not always read the passages to find the answers, but rather skim the passage for keywords Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Essay On The Education System Every student is bound to cheat at one point during their educational career. The reason why is to get a higher grade. Educational Institutions value high grades rather than to value learning, that is what turns students to cheat. Students are taught on how to take tests not learn about the material. But that is to name one of the many factors that cause the current education system to fail. Therefore, students are not getting the highest quality of education possible that is essentially the goal of every educational institution. Standardized testing is excessive and does not represent how much a student has learned, not only it puts pressure on students it also puts pressure on teachers. On top of standardized testing, a lot of schools are overcrowded thus decreases the attention that is needed for each student in order to succeed. Not only there is a problem with testing and classroom sizes, teachers also are not well educated and prepared for the expectations made by larger classroom sizes and the pressure to educate students so that they can achieve high test scores. To further acknowledge the flaws of the current education system, institutions should not only gauge a student's academic achievement through their grades, it should also be through progress throughout a broader lifespan. Grades and standardized tests only capture a frame on this lifespan therefore academic achievement should also be measured through the improvement and progress of a student's learning. • 4. Persuasive Essay About High School Starting school when you're four years old changes tremendously to when you're seventeen or eighteen. There are a few things about school that remain the same, but many more changes are made throughout the years. Gradually homework gets harder and more complex, teachers change, different activities are added, and much more. Elementary is just the base of what your life will be like in the future. High School prepares you more for the rest of your life and is when you individually get to have options and decisions to make. Elementary school consists of learning vocabulary (words), making friends, basic math, and playing outside for recess. The classes you take in Elementary are mandatory. You have to take Math, Science, Language Arts, P.E., Music, Social Studies, Art, and Reading without have a choice on which class to take. There are no complex levels of classes that you can take. Everyone is in the same class and it's usually with the same teacher. For example, your third grade teacher would teach all your classes to you and you would stay in the same room for almost the whole day besides for Art, Music, and P.E. There are normally three teachers for each grade which means your entire grade would be split up into three groups and those are the groups you'll be with the whole year. Recess and lunch was the only times you could see your other friends that are in your grade. Everyone in first through sixth grade do not have any classes together, it is strictly grade by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Essay On After School Programs After school, from 3 to 6 p.m, is a critical period of time in a child's life. After school programs help keep kids safe and inspire them to learn during that period of time. After school programs are organized programs that youth can participate in outside of a traditional school day. Enrolling children in afterschool programs would provide them with benefits that unenrolled children would not receive, such as reduce risky behavior and promote physical health. After school programs provide a safe environment for children, while positively impacting their academics, safety, and their future. Generally, after school programs are ran by schools, faith–based, or community–based nonprofit organizations. Most programs are held directly after school, but can also be held on weekends, over breaks or vacations, or on evenings. It is important to define what the purpose of the program is going to be, whether it be academics, sports, special interests, or cultural activities. Some other key factors of an after school program are high levels of children involvement, a mix of academic and non academic skill building activities, and positive relationships between staff and children. Successful programs have dedicated staff and structured routines for the children. When after school programs are ran successfully, the children involved will receive positive benefits and skills they will be able to use to better their future. In communities today, 11.3 million children take care of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Essay About 6th Grade In 6th grade so far it is awesome. In 6th grade we can have our phones out at lunch in the morning when the school bell didn't ring yet and after school when the bell rings. And so far I been keeping track of my hills bills cause now when it is starting to be the end of the school year there is a lot of more celebration and talent shows of where we have to pay hills bills. And when we want to check out a book we have to have a pass and we can only check out 2 or 1 books for every student in Jefferson. And if we want to play a game on the computers you have to pay 7 hills bills or if its Friday and you have good grades you can play and computer game for free cause it is Friday. Then when it starts getting in the middle of the school year theirs Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay On Education Reform Educational reform is yet to be perfected. Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. "In 40–plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they'll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released" (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year. The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational reforms are yet to be perfected. One point of view a person could have about educational reform is that students throughout the country should all have the same high–quality standards. Issues and Controversies states,"All states should adhere to similar academic standards so that American youth are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Essay On Online Classes Andrew Simoncelli once said, "Students who take online classes must be motivated, independent learners." This is relevant because independence and motivation is what it takes to succeed in an online course. Online learning will not only expand what students learn, but will also bring a number of positive changes in the way students are taught. Courses online have changed everyone's look at learning all over the world. It allows more opportunities for observers to learn online rather than learning in class. Another affirmative of taking an online course is flexibility and convenience. Students who would like to experience some of these ideas should look into an online class! In many schools, online classes are becoming more available to students. Recent studies show that the use of online classes has been rapidly increasing over the past three years. Currently, there are a total of 6,700,000 students enrolled in all different variations of courses ("Online Classes"). Due to the increase of young adults taking online courses, researchers have been able to collect data to compare the grades of online learners to the grades of those learning in the classroom. According to the article published by the University of the Potomac, 90% of students will successfully reach higher achievements beyond what traditional in–class students will attain ("Online Classes"). Taking an online course can help a student accomplish anything they would like to do that is education related, such as getting ahead in certain classes, finishing high school early, or maybe even college. Another plus to taking courses online is being able to work at your own pace. Researchers are finding that the slowest student takes five times as long to learn as the fastest ("Online Classes"). Lectures and other materials are electronically sent to the student, who will then read them and complete assignments, which then allows them to do the homework when they would like to and at the speed they learn things ("10 Advantages"). Most students find courses online better than in–class learning. Now even some schools are saying yes to online learning! It is a big money saver because the school or college will not have to employ thousands of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Why Grades Are Important Essay Yes, grades are an effective means of motivating students to do their best work. If there were no grades why the students would like to work hard? Do not they want to enjoy luxury and comforts in their youth? Surely, students want to enjoy their youth with luxury and comforts. They can not judge themselves because they have no scale of judgment. It is the instructor only who judges the students comparatively and gives grades to them accordingly. In this way, by receiving their grades students recognize their positions in the class. If their positions came to be low, they then try to achieve higher positions by working hard because they want to achieve their goal of becoming great persons. As it is the nature of all the human beings that no...show more content... The farmer does his best to make his fields fit for better growth of the crops only in the hope of getting a good variety of crops so that they may help him in earning high money. If he will not be able to get high money by producing a good variety of crops he will probably increase his working hours to achieve his purpose because he does his work only for earning money to live in. Similar is the case with the students. Students work because they want their instructor to give them high grades. Their future career depends on their grades they have made at this level. If they got high grade their future will be bright because everyone gives credit to grades. Therefore, if students will get credit for their work they will work even better for getting more and more credit. Otherwise, they will shirk work hard. Furthermore, God will also give rewards to those people who have done good deeds in this world. That is why; all people do their best of doing good deeds so that they may be able to get reward from God on their sacrifices and hardships. If there would be no reward from God, no one would want to do good deeds by facing hardships. Every one would be free to committing sins or other bad deeds which will results in turmoil of the world. Same is the case with the students. If the instructor gives them grades for their individual work they will Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Happy: My Sixth Grade Experience "Happy" It was two years ago. I was finally in sixth grade and I knew this year would go great. I had finally made it to 6th grade. I was determined to have a great year. The year got off to a decent enough start. There were three 6th grade teachers and I got the easiest one, Mrs Miller. Unfortunately my two best friends Will and Brandon were both in the same class but it wasn't my class. I was determined to find friends in my own class. I made friends with this one kid named Misael who was new to the school that year. Now Will especially wasn't too happy with that but eventually Misael started hanging out with this other guy named Seth so that took care of itself. My friend situation was okay. At least for now... "I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space... Because I'm happy..." (Williams) Mrs Miller was a really fun teacher. She didn't give us tons of homework and she certainly never gave us homework over the weekends unlike the other teachers. We did a lot of fun projects and math wasn't to hard for the most part. The only problem was that when she was teaching she would remember something that reminded her of something and then she would go on half an hour long tangents about it especially during social studies. Like one time we started by talking about verbs and ended talking about slaughterhouses! They were usually interesting but when I told my mom she was concerned I wasn't learning enough in class. Infact, my mom dislikes her to this day. My teacher also didn't Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Speech On Too Much Homework Everyday I wake up and get ready for yet another gruesome school day. As I do this, I find myself filled with stress, anxiety, and honestly just a pure hatred, for the massive amount of homework that is going to pile up as the day drags on. Is that really how it how it should be? I personally feel that students are being forced under a lot of pressure because of the overwhelming amounts of homework that is assigned to them. Before you begin with the eyerolls and rebuttals as to why homework is important to our education, let me just I agree with you! Homework isn't entirely useless, and it has many great qualities, but the immense amounts tend to be too much for us to bear. Too much homework can really be a problem for students, some have ...show more content... Yes, I understand that sometimes I need more help on certain topics and sometimes students do need more help with something, but I think that teachers should still have more of a limit to how much homework they can assign, given the fat that they are only one of the seven other classes we have to take and that's not including other out–of–school activities and clubs we are taking part in. Along with homework being too repetitive, it can also be damaging to our physical and mental health. Fow example, sleep. So many students, not only in my school, are losing a lot of sleep due to all of the homework, as I said before, that they have to complete after arriving home. For me, after getting home from a sporting event at midnight, showering, doing chores, probably eating, doing my homework, and preparing for the next day of school, it is usually sometime around 3 o'clock at night before I actually crawl into bed. That's ridiculous! A Lot like my elders (teacher, parents, grandparents etc.) are always nagging about us staying up all night scrolling on Instagram or Twitter and watching Youtube, I think they should also be doing something about the insane amounts of homework that we have keeping us up all night. My parents don't let me have my phone in my room at night because they think/know that I will be up all night playing on it, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Persuasive Speech Topics Study Guide 3.2.Good Topics for Persuasive Speeches A good persuasive speech topic should contain not only a good quality content but also have enough information that it delivers the purpose well, i.e. clearly supporting your stance while convincing the listeners to agree to your point of view. Given below is a list of good persuasive topics to develop and deliver great speeches: 1.Should there be a limit to freedom of press? 2.Working women should be offered special privileges. 3.Financial education needs to be an essential part of every curriculum. 4.Risks of using steroids. 5.Do using surveillance cameras over public places violate privacy rights? 6.Spending more time on social networks have made the youth isolated. 7.Do newspapers form an...show more content... Before choosing any topic, you must keep in mind that the subject area of the topic should be the one you are well–informed about and can research it more to cover every dimension of it. You can also use light stories, illustrations, related examples and quotes as tools to make your speech more effective. A few of the topics that you can select for making persuasive speeches in college may include: 1.Is online education equally beneficial like traditional classroom mode of learning? 2.The use of advanced technological devices has made education easier. 3.Replacing text books with online educational tools and resources. 4.Using filters in college networks to prevent students from accessing inappropriate material. 5.Colleges should introduce their own social networks to enhance learning experience of

  • 14. Persuasive Essay Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been evolving, there are changes that have made schooling harder, and some changes that have made schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and their own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make learning more convenient, or are they unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the reason, that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research. During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads. Many students, throughout the long school days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they just don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to check out a laptop you have to leave your phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of the iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience to them. Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my CIS comp, CIS world history, and my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Persuasive Essay On Online Education Online education is helping many students get a better education. This can be for many reasons. Some reasons could include things like a more flexible schedule. Of course their are some that believe that online schools are not a good option because they do not offer students face to face time with teachers, but online schools can be a great way to educate the children of tomorrow because it allows for students in rural areas to get the same education as somebody in the city and the flexible nature of online school allows students to have more time to be with their family, friends and to do the activities they love. One of the great things about online education is that it gives students in rural areas the same education as those in large urban areas. This is because of many things but most importantly it is because online systems allow for more courses then a small town would be able to provide (Orgill, Jason, and Douglas Hervey). Having more courses is important because it gives students the opportunity to take deep dives into areas that they are very interested in. This is an opportunity that many students that live in rural areas don't get because there school simply does not have enough students to provide those courses. Giving students in rural areas the same course opportunities as those in urban areas is just one of the reasons online education is so important. Another great thing about online education is that allows student athletes to have enough time with their families while also putting huge amounts of time into training and school. The reason athletes get the time they need is because at an online school "you work at your own pace" And on your own schedule (Snyder, Tom). I know from personal experience being a student athlete in a brick and mortar school is difficult. You wake up early try and finish your homework, then go directly to school. Then after school you go to training and then more training then maybe you go to the gym and then finally you get home and you are so tired you just fall into bed. This is really tough because you get hardly any time to spend with your family and friend. In an online school system you can do your work wherever you are and whenever you have time. It was not only a happy time graduating from elementary, but also at the same time not a fun thing to do. It was the last day of school, the beginning of summer break, and the weather was sunny and warm. Everyone in the multi use room were getting their breakfast and eating on tables with their friends. I was sitting at a table with my friends, eating my breakfast, sitting next to me was my friends Eduard, Marcus, and Erik. While everyone was eating breakfast, our two 6th grade teachers were presenting a slideshow of pictures and events that happened throughout the year such as pictures from science camp, pictures of working in the school garden, pictures of field trips, and other activities we have done throughout the year. When she was done with her speech, we had some free time to go around and talk to our friends, take pictures, sign yearbooks, and eat some of the graduation cake. I was signing people's yearbooks and asking people to sign my yearbook, I got my yearbook signed by a lot of my friends and also got it signed by my teacher. In my yearbook, people wrote mostly things that said goodbye and have a great summer. After that, I said goodbye to my friends and went home, but before everyone left, my teacher gave everyone a small, blue envelope with her name on it. While traveling back home, I opened the envelope and found an address, next to it was writing that said to send her letters of how it's like in middle school. When I got home, there was already a lot of food in the kitchen because my parents were already setting up my graduation Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. Persuasive Essay On STEM Education Everyone wants what is best for their children, right? If that is true, then schools need to start preparing their students for the challenges they will meet in college and the skills to overcome them. This is best done through the presence of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in middle and high schools. Through Wisconsin schools furthering their focus on STEM with extracurriculars, students will gain vital skills that are necessary for human progression, problem–solving and time management skills that can be used in real life, and the students learn how they can apply what is being taught in the classroom to real obstacles and challenges. It is clear that STEM is a rapidly growing and advancing field that is needed for our human progression. There are so many different professions that fall under STEM education and many of them impact the world every day. According to former President Barack Obama "[Science] is more than a school subject, or the periodic table, or the properties of waves. It is an approach to the world, a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change that world" (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Here, former President Obama is talking about how important science is as more than just a school subject; science can be taken out of school and used to impact many people and change the world. Some may say that there have been other fields in history that became very popular but Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. Persuasive Speech On Tablets Vs Textbooks In the United States alone over 2,300 school districts are using tablets in the classroom and growing better than ever. Education is the driving factor of our future so don't you want to make sure that it's the best that it can be? If so, then we're on the same page. The issue whether tablets or textbooks is a huge decision for us. As I speak I ask you to decide for yourself which tool you would consider. I believe that schools should use tablets for the K–12th grade instead of textbooks because it's more beneficial to the schools and therefore better for our future the main reason why tablets are the key to our future is that they are safer, more cost friendly, and helps improve students achievements for education than textbooks.
