Example Of A Biographical Essay
In my church's charity event, I stand behind a microphone and a music stand. My ears hear clamorous noises. I am waiting for what seems like an
eternity. To my left, I hear high–pitched vocal warm–ups. To my right I hear blasting and loud eruptions from the tuning of instruments that vibrate the
stage. At a distance I hear low beats and piercing crashes, with occasional hums and heels of bass. Finally, it is time to start. I cough a little to prepare
my voice. The whole ensemble sits in silence, observing and anticipating. I see the rhythm of the director's hands moving in a beat to give us singers the
tempo. All at once, an army of voices starts singing in harmony. On my left, I hear a perfect euphony of high–pitched and low–pitched singing....show

O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night, O holy night, O night divine!" When I open my mouth, I discovered that music was for me.
Singing and music has followed me throughout my life. Not so soon after, I began to embark on an expedition of music.Music notes fascinate me
in an artistic sense. While I perform songs, I also figure out how the arrangements of various music notes compose the song's melody. To me, it's
not just singing something for the sake of singing. I feel a connection to my heart when the lyrics I perform are deep and personal. I feel dominant
when I stand on the stage, facing a crowd, ready to give it my all. Singing for me it is not just a hobby, and not something I just do when I am
bored. Singing a way to loosen up my heart, to stop stressing, and to just go with the flow. There is something so satisfying about singing my heart
out when I have put in hours of practice. There is something so satisfying when I get something that was just separate verses until I decided to bring
into a full song. I can choose to create a beautiful harmony or discordant tones. When I am singing, I am absorbed by the music. Singing is a chance
for me to use my vocal chords and my rhythm to create something harmonic and pleasing to the

My Relationship With God At Right Now Essay
Where is my relationship with God at right now? It sounds like a simple question, but as I sit writing this paper I find it difficult to answer. To
evaluate all that my relationship with God really is currently sounds easy. I will admit I do not always feel closer to God in many ways, such as when I
feel my prayers cannot be heard.
The term ritual according to the Merriam–Webster dictionary is defined as; "always done in a particular situation and in the same way each time"
(Webster, 2015). Spiritual is defined by the Merriam–Webster dictionary as "having similar values and ideas: related or joined in spirit"
(Webster,2015). The spiritual rituals that I typically practice isprayer, and worship. Although I am currently practicing silence and solitude this
semester. Typically, my prayers start out by praying for others or prayer request, then I pray for what I need. I will admit that even after years of
growing up with prayer life being emphasized in church, I still struggle with prayer sometimes. I am not constantly in prayer and there are days
when I do not pray at all. Since starting college, I have begun to pray more often, but there are still days when I do not even think about praying.
Another, spiritual ritual that I have often practiced is worship. Worship tends to be my favorite part of services, and what I consider to be the best
time when I am alone in my room. The meaning of worship to me is more than just important, worship is a lifeline. It makes me feel more

Essay on Sociological Autobiography
My life started with my long and hard birth on July 14, 1993. I came into the world with a large scream and was immediately placed into some sort
of category. The doctors and nurses took a quick look at me, and pronounced me as a girl. This social label of being a girl was now my gender,
which is something I had no say in. Every since that very moment in time where my parents were told I was a girl, I have been treated according to
my gender. This meant that my parents automatically dressed me in pink, bought me dollhouses and kitchen sets and threw me Barbie themed
birthday parties. Since I was surrounded my whole entire life by these things, it was almost like second nature to think and act the way that I did and
still do. My...show more content...
I became intrigued and wanted to play with his toys because they became so much more interesting then mine. When my grandmother saw that I
was playing with trucks and enjoying it, she quickly came over and grabbed them out of my hands, giving them back to the little boy I had taken
them from. She then explained to me that trucks were for boys not girls, and I should stick to using my pink shovel and bucket set to make nice
sandcastles. I didn't understand at that point what the big issue was, it was just toys that were fun to play with, but I agreed with my grandmother
because I didn't want to get into trouble and from then on stuck to focusing on making sandcastles. I quickly forgot about the trucks, and never
again did I think to play with anything remotely like that. Little did I know it, but that was one of the first examples of gender roles that I had
been exposed too. Growing up, my label of a female has given me both advantages and disadvantages. Having a younger brother has given me a
clearer view of how parents and family members socialize the both of us to act male or female. Because I am a female, it was expected of me
from a very early age to attend school and university. There was never really a choice, it was either that or go straight into work, which was the less
pleasing option. However my brother is just expected to get his high school diploma and go work for my father and take over our family business, which

Essay on My Musical Autobiography
Ever since I was a young kid, I was extremely fond of music. Music was all around me: on the television, in school, at the store, and especially in
the car. Not only did I love to listen to music, but I loved to play it as well. I am not saying I was any good at playing music, because I was not. But
to a young child, hitting their hand on anything could be music, and to me it definitely was. As a child, I was exposed to rock music and oldies.
However, I grew up in Prince George's county, so I started listening to rap, just like every other kid. But by the time I enteredhigh school, I began to like
rock music again. I became an avid rock listener. Once again, my music taste has changed. Now I only like to listen to trance and house...show more

Throughout my life, the emphasis of music has changed. As I got older, less emphasis was placed on music. In elementary school, it was mandatory
for every student to take music class every year until they graduate. When I got to middle school though, we just had to take one semester of music.
Then when I entered high school, music became optional. I think this is a tremendous mistake, because music plays such a significant role in
everyone's lives, whether we believe it or not. I am not that great of a singer, therefore, I have never sung outside of the shower. I do not play any
musical instruments either, though I would not mind learning how to play the drums. I have received a little formal training in music when I was
in elementary school. I used to be able to read some notes, but I probably have forgotten everything now. I do wish to perform music someday, if I
could ever learn. I think the most valuable thing for me to learn in this course would be to understand the role of music in the world, and how it has
come to shape the people in it. I would like to understand the different origins of music throughout the world. I feel like I already have a great
appreciation for music though. This is what I hope to get out of this

Biographical criticism takes into account that literary works are created by actual people and that understanding an author's life can help readers
comprehend the work more thoroughly. "Heart of Darkness" is one of the most remarkable of Conrad's short novels, and its autobiographical narrative
is evident. Miller pays attention that Marlow's tale differs greatly from the stories of ordinary seamen, as though it is put in the historical context of the
nineteenth–century world–dominating imperialism, it concerns the issues of enlightenment caused by traumatic experience (31–32). The novel may be
interpreted as the writer's journey into self–reflection. The narrator becomes the author's alter ego who expresses ideas and thoughts, which worry
Conrad himself. Biographical facts help the writer restore the environment that influenced him to create the...show more content...
Guerard asserts that the redemptive view is Catholic, though there is no priest in attendance, as well as Victorian, but a Victorian ethic and Victorian
fear of the white man's deterioration have a "distinctly Catholic psychology" (7). Following Conrad's own ideas as a Catholic and a moral man,
Marlow observes that people are protected from themselves by society with its laws and its watchful neighbors as well as by work itself. When the
narrator describes his journey and mentions drums beating at night and asks himself why he didn't go ashore for a howl and a dance, he answers
proudly that he had no time, since he "had to watch the steering, and circumvent those snags, and get the tin–pot along by hook or by crook" (Conrad
59), and a lot of other things familiar to the author because of his long voyages. But if the external restraints of the society and work are removed, a

Biography Of My Grandmother
My grandmother, Kathy A Gerdes was born March 10, 1947 and has done many great things in her life. She excelled in everything because she is
very strong and determined to do things. Growing up, I was always with her and watching her do things which is why I look up to her. It wasn't
until she moved in with us until I got to have a strong relationship and get to see the kind loving person she is. This biography portrays what she
has accomplished and how she is loving and strong. As a child, my grandma had a very simple life even though her parents were strict. She grew
up in New Prague, Minnesota, by the old creamery. She had 3 siblings, Rosie, Roman, and Tony. They are all older than her and each sibling is
about 10 years apart. Her dad owned a barber shop and her mom was stay at home. My grandma had to do many chores around the house including
dishes, cleaning, garden work, shoveling snow, and many other things. She was always expected to do her chores for the day after school or she
would be in trouble. Her parents were very conservative catholics. Her family had to go to church every Sunday and they didn't have a choice if they
wanted to go or not.
Kathy had many memories as a child. She loved to play outside all of the time. She played things like hide n' seek, ring around the frypan, Jacks, and

It is very important to be aware of what is going on in the world however sometimes reading can be a better source or information than watching

beliefs that are more logical. I had structure growing up as a kid and was directed to what was right and wrong but I was not born into a political
dictatorship. My parents were caring people and emphasized that treating others with respect is more important than following some indoctrinated
code. I am fortunate to have been given the freedom to develop my own social and political views. Having political guidance from family is
important but being told that only one particular political belief system is infallible is not the ideal way to educate. My parents have always preached
equality, and that all people should have equal opportunity to pursue their goals despite their religion, race, ethnic background or sexual orientation. At a
young age I was taught to recognize that all Americans have an equal opportunity to aspire to an education regardless of their economic condition. My
parents were a large influence of how I view freedom of speech. They emphasized that all individuals have the right to express their opinions and
advocate their personal beliefs. One of the key political concepts that I was born into was to fight for a clean environment. The environment must be

My Grandfather's Biography
As I stand here clearing out brush and leaves from my grandpa's patio he built, he walks out and talks about his back hurting or his eyesight going
and then immediately starts laughing to himself. I chuckle along with him, and then he says to me "You know I used to ask myself why my
grandfather was always such an ornery old man?" Where I expected an old phrase or line from a book he instead says "As I became older I realised
something, it's fun." I laughed again thinking, how did I not see that coming?
Story teller, police officer, biker, soldier, engineer, rebuilder. These are all titles that can fit my grandfather. He is a stubborn old man who has a set
moral code and will always try to find humor in life, specifically in being an orary old man, and will never show weakness if he can help it. This
man is a pillar of: honor, freedom, and ingenuity. He is proof that being in a bad situation growing up does not mean you will end up that way, from
nothing he built a home, family, and a respectable career through his hard work and ambition.
This all starts in Los Angeles where my grandfather was born, his parents Dorothea Faith Moore and Albert Edward Thomas. Albert was originally
from West Virginia and was as described by my grandfather as being a moonshiner and was generally mean. Dorothea was a small woman in height
and was beautiful never looking as old as she was. The two were together for

Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. He went to Harvard Law School. After his graduation, continued his legal work
as a civil rights lawyer and a professor teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996. He
served there for three terms (1996–2004). Later on, he started his campaign in 2007 for the presidential election in 2008. He won the presidential

in both term of economy and military. Israel is another country to concern. Imagine if there is no Israel, all those Middle Eastern countries are
sharing the same belief. They will eventually team up, create their own Alliance and only God knows what they can do with that. The world

Obama gave an interview in which he viciously attacked Israel, suggesting that Israel was the cause of the peace process failure, that the United
States could no longer protect Israel if the peace process failed". Mr. Obama should consider that keeping Israel strong is a good thing to do right
now. A strong Israel means that Middle East is unstable. Israel's neighbor countries will keep being suspicious in every moves Israel made. They will
be busy dealing with each other. In another word, it will prevent them to unify.
However, American should consider the good that he has done for this country. He ended the war with Iraq as the last troop left in 2011. He

Autobiography Of My Childhood
In second grade, I finally figured out that something was wrong with me. There always had been, and it was only getting worse. For as long as I
had been alive, I was never like other kids. As a baby, I never crawled more than a few inches. But one day, just for fun, my dad stood me up across the
room from my mom. "Walk to Mama," he told me. Despite all expectations, I did. I got up and walked to Mama. I didn 't even stumble. It wasn 't
that I couldn 't walk, I just hadn 't needed to. My mom carried me everywhere. It was a sign, albeit missed, of what was to come. I had also never

The school tried to discourage my parents from thinking I was gifted, saying things like 'A lot of people think that about their kids,' and 'She's fine

I was gifted. Very. The school resumed its rhetoric with even more force. They didn 't want me to leave. I was dragging up their test scores. My
parents, however, did want me to leave, as did I. We started looking at schools. Two favorites emerged: Nova Classical Academy and Minnetonka
Public Schools's Navigator program. Nova was a public charter school in Saint Paul, much closer to my house in Minneapolis, and was
recommended by my IQ test proctor. The Navigator program was, unsurprisingly, in Minnetonka, and my parents had found it on their own. Due to
my father's anxieties about me going to a charter, they decided to look more closely at Minnetonka. A little while later, I was pulled from my school
to go to a Navigator orientation. As soon as I walked in to the classroom, I felt every pair of eyes on me. I was in the worst situation imaginable–I was
the newcomer. I didn 't know anything about this strange new place, half an hour away from my school, my house, and anything and anyone I knew.
Worse, in less than a year, these kids could be my classmates. I took a spot at the very back table. There was only one other student there–a blonde girl
who quickly introduced herself

Race And Ethnicity: Biological Characteristics
Race and ethnicity is refers to groups of people whos similarities in biological traits are deemed by their original geographical region. I believe race
and ethnicity are actually two different things that have similarities. Race is the physical characteristics you share with people. Ethnicity is the social
and cultural characteristics you share with people. People have went to war, have been enslaved, and have been treated differently because of their race,
but they never took the time to learn about the people ethnicity.
Race is the biological traits you share with a group of people. For example, African American people share the same race because of their similar

A Biography On My Mom
I wrote a biography on my mom because she is basically an older and wiser me, but her childhood wasn't exactly as easy. Lashae Damore Bibbins
was born on March fifteenth, 1970 in Los Angeles California at the UCLA Medical Center. She was born on her dad's birthday and unfortunately, the
day her father's best friend died from a car incident. Lashae's parents are Lucille and John Jefferson.
Her first memory was when she was four or three years old in pre–school called Kimberly Ann in 1973. Lashae says, "I remember they had an ugly red
carpet, and I refused to take a nap till the teacher said "okay just lay down quietly". I used to watch a T.V show called "H.R. Puffin Stuff." There
was a red flute, an ugly green witch and the trees moved and talked." Lashae's mom especially remembers when Lashae would cry every time she
dropped her off, which gave her a headache. As a child Lashae was most afraid of dying. She would think about it all the time and scare herself. She
also remembers the weekends when she was young. "Saturdays were the best because I was able to watch cartoons all morning while drinking hot
chocolate and eating toast with grape jelly. My favorite t.v–show to this day was the Brady Bunch."
Lashae had two siblings. Her unreliable older brother, Maurice, who she thought was very weird because he would always lie and steal from their family
and an annoying younger sister, Meme, who at the time lived to make Lashae's life miserable by pretending that Lashae hurt

The three things that have made the biggest impact on and have influenced my life that shaped me into the person I am today are family
background, experiences from my school year, and religious beliefs. Our culture provides a lens through which we view the world and interpret our
everyday experiences. In order to know who I am today, I must look at who you've been. Many educators around the country are interested in
developing a multicultural approach in their teaching. They find themselves in classrooms with 25 children of varying racial and cultural
backgrounds, and are looking for ways to connect what they do in the classroom to the cultures represented by their students. Before we can begin to
understand others, however, we need to understand ourselves and what we bring to our interactions with others. Every time we engage with our
surroundings we create an experience both consciously and unconsciously. Our live experiences whether traumatic or joyful shape who we are over
time. An experience that has defined the person I am today is my journey I went through as a child traveling back and forth from the United States to
Mexico as an undocumented. If a child has an impact when moving into a new house and neighborhood imagine countries. I was brought to the

Biography of William Shakespeare William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564. He was baptized on April 24, 1564, in Stratford

Shakespeare was a great time in English history. The reign of Elizabeth, from 1558 to 1603, saw England emerge as the leading naval and
commercial power of the Western world. Elizabeth I's England consolidated its position with the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588, and firmly

England established an envious preeminence. At this time, London was the heart of England, reflecting all the vibrant qualities of the Elizabethan Age.
It was in this atmosphere that London became a leading center of culture as well as commerce. Its dramatists and poets were among the leading

Wow now this stage of my life which made me who I am today, it had the most life changing experiences up to this date, secondaryschool. My very
first secondary school was Salisbury, it was said that it was one of the worst performing schools in the country and also one of the worst behaved. I
did not know this and didn't believe it because I and most of my friends had achieved very good grades in our SATS. I had achieved level five in
English, five in science and four in mathematics. Anyways when I first started the school was the chitter chatter of other pupils and the smell of
school dinners was as always putrid. The grease they used to fry made the air slimy and un– breathable.
When I entered the massive gates the immense building towered over me. I felt tiny in comparison just like my confidence at the time, I was
terrified. My year had started a day earlier than the rest of the school so that we could get to know each other better. I had already made some new
friends but I had also made enemies. Me and my new friends played some football together and it was awesome they were unstoppable (I was
unstoppable as well) and right there I knew I made friends for life One of my best friends was a boy called Hanad he was a tall and muscular, he had
fair skin like caramel but was as tough as a nut. Hanad was the coolest boy I had ever met, he was the best in our whole year at most

Example Of A Biographical Essay

  • 1. Example Of A Biographical Essay In my church's charity event, I stand behind a microphone and a music stand. My ears hear clamorous noises. I am waiting for what seems like an eternity. To my left, I hear high–pitched vocal warm–ups. To my right I hear blasting and loud eruptions from the tuning of instruments that vibrate the stage. At a distance I hear low beats and piercing crashes, with occasional hums and heels of bass. Finally, it is time to start. I cough a little to prepare my voice. The whole ensemble sits in silence, observing and anticipating. I see the rhythm of the director's hands moving in a beat to give us singers the tempo. All at once, an army of voices starts singing in harmony. On my left, I hear a perfect euphony of high–pitched and low–pitched singing....show more content... O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night, O holy night, O night divine!" When I open my mouth, I discovered that music was for me. Singing and music has followed me throughout my life. Not so soon after, I began to embark on an expedition of music.Music notes fascinate me in an artistic sense. While I perform songs, I also figure out how the arrangements of various music notes compose the song's melody. To me, it's not just singing something for the sake of singing. I feel a connection to my heart when the lyrics I perform are deep and personal. I feel dominant when I stand on the stage, facing a crowd, ready to give it my all. Singing for me it is not just a hobby, and not something I just do when I am bored. Singing a way to loosen up my heart, to stop stressing, and to just go with the flow. There is something so satisfying about singing my heart out when I have put in hours of practice. There is something so satisfying when I get something that was just separate verses until I decided to bring into a full song. I can choose to create a beautiful harmony or discordant tones. When I am singing, I am absorbed by the music. Singing is a chance for me to use my vocal chords and my rhythm to create something harmonic and pleasing to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Relationship With God At Right Now Essay Where is my relationship with God at right now? It sounds like a simple question, but as I sit writing this paper I find it difficult to answer. To evaluate all that my relationship with God really is currently sounds easy. I will admit I do not always feel closer to God in many ways, such as when I feel my prayers cannot be heard. The term ritual according to the Merriam–Webster dictionary is defined as; "always done in a particular situation and in the same way each time" (Webster, 2015). Spiritual is defined by the Merriam–Webster dictionary as "having similar values and ideas: related or joined in spirit" (Webster,2015). The spiritual rituals that I typically practice isprayer, and worship. Although I am currently practicing silence and solitude this semester. Typically, my prayers start out by praying for others or prayer request, then I pray for what I need. I will admit that even after years of growing up with prayer life being emphasized in church, I still struggle with prayer sometimes. I am not constantly in prayer and there are days when I do not pray at all. Since starting college, I have begun to pray more often, but there are still days when I do not even think about praying. Another, spiritual ritual that I have often practiced is worship. Worship tends to be my favorite part of services, and what I consider to be the best time when I am alone in my room. The meaning of worship to me is more than just important, worship is a lifeline. It makes me feel more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay on Sociological Autobiography My life started with my long and hard birth on July 14, 1993. I came into the world with a large scream and was immediately placed into some sort of category. The doctors and nurses took a quick look at me, and pronounced me as a girl. This social label of being a girl was now my gender, which is something I had no say in. Every since that very moment in time where my parents were told I was a girl, I have been treated according to my gender. This meant that my parents automatically dressed me in pink, bought me dollhouses and kitchen sets and threw me Barbie themed birthday parties. Since I was surrounded my whole entire life by these things, it was almost like second nature to think and act the way that I did and still do. My...show more content... I became intrigued and wanted to play with his toys because they became so much more interesting then mine. When my grandmother saw that I was playing with trucks and enjoying it, she quickly came over and grabbed them out of my hands, giving them back to the little boy I had taken them from. She then explained to me that trucks were for boys not girls, and I should stick to using my pink shovel and bucket set to make nice sandcastles. I didn't understand at that point what the big issue was, it was just toys that were fun to play with, but I agreed with my grandmother because I didn't want to get into trouble and from then on stuck to focusing on making sandcastles. I quickly forgot about the trucks, and never again did I think to play with anything remotely like that. Little did I know it, but that was one of the first examples of gender roles that I had been exposed too. Growing up, my label of a female has given me both advantages and disadvantages. Having a younger brother has given me a clearer view of how parents and family members socialize the both of us to act male or female. Because I am a female, it was expected of me from a very early age to attend school and university. There was never really a choice, it was either that or go straight into work, which was the less pleasing option. However my brother is just expected to get his high school diploma and go work for my father and take over our family business, which Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay on My Musical Autobiography Ever since I was a young kid, I was extremely fond of music. Music was all around me: on the television, in school, at the store, and especially in the car. Not only did I love to listen to music, but I loved to play it as well. I am not saying I was any good at playing music, because I was not. But to a young child, hitting their hand on anything could be music, and to me it definitely was. As a child, I was exposed to rock music and oldies. However, I grew up in Prince George's county, so I started listening to rap, just like every other kid. But by the time I enteredhigh school, I began to like rock music again. I became an avid rock listener. Once again, my music taste has changed. Now I only like to listen to trance and house...show more content... Throughout my life, the emphasis of music has changed. As I got older, less emphasis was placed on music. In elementary school, it was mandatory for every student to take music class every year until they graduate. When I got to middle school though, we just had to take one semester of music. Then when I entered high school, music became optional. I think this is a tremendous mistake, because music plays such a significant role in everyone's lives, whether we believe it or not. I am not that great of a singer, therefore, I have never sung outside of the shower. I do not play any musical instruments either, though I would not mind learning how to play the drums. I have received a little formal training in music when I was in elementary school. I used to be able to read some notes, but I probably have forgotten everything now. I do wish to perform music someday, if I could ever learn. I think the most valuable thing for me to learn in this course would be to understand the role of music in the world, and how it has come to shape the people in it. I would like to understand the different origins of music throughout the world. I feel like I already have a great appreciation for music though. This is what I hope to get out of this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Biographical criticism takes into account that literary works are created by actual people and that understanding an author's life can help readers comprehend the work more thoroughly. "Heart of Darkness" is one of the most remarkable of Conrad's short novels, and its autobiographical narrative is evident. Miller pays attention that Marlow's tale differs greatly from the stories of ordinary seamen, as though it is put in the historical context of the nineteenth–century world–dominating imperialism, it concerns the issues of enlightenment caused by traumatic experience (31–32). The novel may be interpreted as the writer's journey into self–reflection. The narrator becomes the author's alter ego who expresses ideas and thoughts, which worry Conrad himself. Biographical facts help the writer restore the environment that influenced him to create the...show more content... Guerard asserts that the redemptive view is Catholic, though there is no priest in attendance, as well as Victorian, but a Victorian ethic and Victorian fear of the white man's deterioration have a "distinctly Catholic psychology" (7). Following Conrad's own ideas as a Catholic and a moral man, Marlow observes that people are protected from themselves by society with its laws and its watchful neighbors as well as by work itself. When the narrator describes his journey and mentions drums beating at night and asks himself why he didn't go ashore for a howl and a dance, he answers proudly that he had no time, since he "had to watch the steering, and circumvent those snags, and get the tin–pot along by hook or by crook" (Conrad 59), and a lot of other things familiar to the author because of his long voyages. But if the external restraints of the society and work are removed, a person has to face temptation of savage reversion like Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Biography Of My Grandmother My grandmother, Kathy A Gerdes was born March 10, 1947 and has done many great things in her life. She excelled in everything because she is very strong and determined to do things. Growing up, I was always with her and watching her do things which is why I look up to her. It wasn't until she moved in with us until I got to have a strong relationship and get to see the kind loving person she is. This biography portrays what she has accomplished and how she is loving and strong. As a child, my grandma had a very simple life even though her parents were strict. She grew up in New Prague, Minnesota, by the old creamery. She had 3 siblings, Rosie, Roman, and Tony. They are all older than her and each sibling is about 10 years apart. Her dad owned a barber shop and her mom was stay at home. My grandma had to do many chores around the house including dishes, cleaning, garden work, shoveling snow, and many other things. She was always expected to do her chores for the day after school or she would be in trouble. Her parents were very conservative catholics. Her family had to go to church every Sunday and they didn't have a choice if they wanted to go or not. Kathy had many memories as a child. She loved to play outside all of the time. She played things like hide n' seek, ring around the frypan, Jacks, and marbles with shooters. She played many guy sports like football and basketball because she always played with boys that lived around her. She also loved to go ice skating. My Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Political Biography Essay Conor Samuels 9 March 2010 Professor Simon PSC 101 Political Autobiography In my life I have never had any political enforcement or strict religious influence. My parents were very lenient when it came too political preaching. I was taught to be a caring and respectful individual. My political understanding and beliefs have been molded from my early political memories and socialization experiences. As a young adult I have always strived to become knowledgeable about political ideals mainly because I was never really taught to believe in something specific. I eventually was drawn towards many different social and political perspectives, which is how I came to a logical conclusion of how I view the world politically...show more content... It is very important to be aware of what is going on in the world however sometimes reading can be a better source or information than watching bias television broadcasts. I believe that if children have to develop their own political opinion at a young age then they will attain values and beliefs that are more logical. I had structure growing up as a kid and was directed to what was right and wrong but I was not born into a political dictatorship. My parents were caring people and emphasized that treating others with respect is more important than following some indoctrinated code. I am fortunate to have been given the freedom to develop my own social and political views. Having political guidance from family is important but being told that only one particular political belief system is infallible is not the ideal way to educate. My parents have always preached equality, and that all people should have equal opportunity to pursue their goals despite their religion, race, ethnic background or sexual orientation. At a young age I was taught to recognize that all Americans have an equal opportunity to aspire to an education regardless of their economic condition. My parents were a large influence of how I view freedom of speech. They emphasized that all individuals have the right to express their opinions and advocate their personal beliefs. One of the key political concepts that I was born into was to fight for a clean environment. The environment must be protected and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Quintin T. Richardson 101 English 08/22/16–09/11/2016 My Grandfather's Biography As I stand here clearing out brush and leaves from my grandpa's patio he built, he walks out and talks about his back hurting or his eyesight going and then immediately starts laughing to himself. I chuckle along with him, and then he says to me "You know I used to ask myself why my grandfather was always such an ornery old man?" Where I expected an old phrase or line from a book he instead says "As I became older I realised something, it's fun." I laughed again thinking, how did I not see that coming? Story teller, police officer, biker, soldier, engineer, rebuilder. These are all titles that can fit my grandfather. He is a stubborn old man who has a set moral code and will always try to find humor in life, specifically in being an orary old man, and will never show weakness if he can help it. This man is a pillar of: honor, freedom, and ingenuity. He is proof that being in a bad situation growing up does not mean you will end up that way, from nothing he built a home, family, and a respectable career through his hard work and ambition. This all starts in Los Angeles where my grandfather was born, his parents Dorothea Faith Moore and Albert Edward Thomas. Albert was originally from West Virginia and was as described by my grandfather as being a moonshiner and was generally mean. Ukraine and Eastern Sea are one of the obvious proofs. China and Russia have been very daring lately; America is losing respect in both term of economy and military. Israel is another country to concern. Imagine if there is no Israel, all those Middle Eastern countries are sharing the same belief. They will eventually team up, create their own Alliance and only God knows what they can do with that. The world doesn't need another version of Germany in World War 2. According to Jenifer Rubin from The Washington Post, in an article she said "President Obama gave an interview in which he viciously attacked Israel, suggesting that Israel was the cause of the peace process failure, that the United States could no longer protect Israel if the peace process failed". Mr. Obama should consider that keeping Israel strong is a good thing to do right now. A strong Israel means that Middle East is unstable. Israel's neighbor countries will keep being suspicious in every moves Israel made. They will be busy dealing with each other. In another word, it will prevent them to unify. However, American should consider the good that he has done for this country. He ended the war with Iraq as the last troop left in 2011. He Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Autobiography Of My Childhood In second grade, I finally figured out that something was wrong with me. There always had been, and it was only getting worse. For as long as I had been alive, I was never like other kids. As a baby, I never crawled more than a few inches. But one day, just for fun, my dad stood me up across the room from my mom. "Walk to Mama," he told me. Despite all expectations, I did. I got up and walked to Mama. I didn 't even stumble. It wasn 't that I couldn 't walk, I just hadn 't needed to. The school resumed its rhetoric with even more force. They didn 't want me to leave. I was dragging up their test scores. My parents, however, did want me to leave, as did I. We started looking at schools. Two favorites emerged: Nova Classical Academy and Minnetonka Public Schools's Navigator program. Nova was a public charter school in Saint Paul, much closer to my house in Minneapolis, and was recommended by my IQ test proctor. The Navigator program was, unsurprisingly, in Minnetonka, and my parents had found it on their own. Due to my father's anxieties about me going to a charter, they decided to look more closely at Minnetonka. A little while later, I was pulled from my school to go to a Navigator orientation. As soon as I walked in to the classroom, I felt every pair of eyes on me. I was in the worst situation imaginable–I was the newcomer. I didn 't know anything about this strange new place, half an hour away from my school, my house, and anything and anyone I knew. Worse, in less than a year, these kids could be my classmates. Lashae Damore Bibbins was born on March fifteenth, 1970 in Los Angeles California at the UCLA Medical Center. She was born on her dad's birthday and unfortunately, the day her father's best friend died from a car incident. Lashae's parents are Lucille and John Jefferson. Lashae says, "I remember they had an ugly red carpet, and I refused to take a nap till the teacher said "okay just lay down quietly". I used to watch a T.V show called "H.R. Puffin Stuff." There was a red flute, an ugly green witch and the trees moved and talked." Lashae's mom especially remembers when Lashae would cry every time she dropped her off, which gave her a headache. As a child Lashae was most afraid of dying. She would think about it all the time and scare herself. She also remembers the weekends when she was young. "Saturdays were the best because I was able to watch cartoons all morning while drinking hot chocolate and eating toast with grape jelly. My favorite t.v–show to this day was the Brady Bunch." • 17. The three things that have made the biggest impact on and have influenced my life that shaped me into the person I am today are family background, experiences from my school year, and religious beliefs. Our culture provides a lens through which we view the world and interpret our everyday experiences. In order to know who I am today, I must look at who you've been. Many educators around the country are interested in developing a multicultural approach in their teaching. They find themselves in classrooms with 25 children of varying racial and cultural backgrounds, and are looking for ways to connect what they do in the classroom to the cultures represented by their students. Before we can begin to understand others, however, we need to understand ourselves and what we bring to our interactions with others. Every time we engage with our surroundings we create an experience both consciously and unconsciously. Our live experiences whether traumatic or joyful shape who we are over time. An experience that has defined the person I am today is my journey I went through as a child traveling back and forth from the United States to Mexico as an undocumented. If a child has an impact when moving into a new house and neighborhood imagine countries. I was brought to the United States when I was two years old. When you are a baby I guess is not that great of a deal you don 't remember much.
