Theodor Seuss Geisel, or as he is better known as, Dr. Seuss, was a great American writer best known for authoring many popular children's books.
His books, which include such classics as The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, and How the Grinch stole Christmas, all had strong commercial success and
stood out from others at the time due to his new simplified vocabulary style in his writings. Dr. Seuss's unique writing technique influenced by his own
mother, helped children throughout America learn how to read with its energizing, repetitive, and innovative style, which was something new and

Did you know Dr. Seuss was not a doctor? He added the title "doctor" before Seuss (his actual name) while in college to lend credibility to his

One big example of a writer that inspired me and helped me out to be interested in writing more is Dr.Seuss. This gentleman had such an interesting

When children are first learning to read, teachers and parents supply them with straight–forward, amusing books with a clear and understandable moral.
Books by the most famous children authors, such as Dr. Seuss, teach their young readers basic messages about life. Many of the most renowned
children books deliver a strong message of the importance of family, friendship, equality, and acceptance. As the children get older, the morals of their
books become less obvious and more complex, and when they are nearing adulthood the moral may be taken out completely. However, most of these
books, especially ones that are considered works of literary fiction, replace the moral with something that is often similar– the theme. Theme, the
central idea where the author attempts to demonstrate a generalization of human behavior or society, often gives the reader insight into how others'
perceive the world. Although the reader may not fully accept the theme, one should always reflect upon what the author presents in his or her story. In
commercial fiction, the theme of the story often aligns with the readers' views. However, the theme of literary fiction tends to challenge the reader's

throughout Dr. Seuss books and my original piece . Sometimes when he could not think of an actual word in order to create a rhyme he would just
fabricate his own word from his imagination. I created some of my own words for the creatures that exist within my book in order to further mimic Dr.
Seuss' writing style. The rhyming words that can be found within Dr. Seuss' books make them much more enjoyable to read.
Dr. Seuss was not only the author of all of his books, but he was also the illustrator for all of the wacky and colourful pictures that fill the pages of his

Firstly, the book that covers environmentalism is the Lorax. This is about someone, named the Once–ler, that discovers the Truffula trees and the
marketing potential of the Thneed, a product he created using the trees. Soon his mind is infiltrated by materialism and he starts mercilessly cutting
down the Truffula trees, despite the Lorax's attempts to stop him. Animals start leaving, due to the pollution, lack of food, and substances in the
