As a writer there are many elements of writing that I struggle with, especially when composing an essay. When writing an essay, there are usually

I am looking to improve on this challenge as a writer by focusing on explaining my quotes and explanations in a more supportive way that relates
back to the thesis. Writing can be improved upon endlessly by minimizing your challenges as a writer. In writing an essay I also struggle with

The Cost of Task Switching Humans are not like any other living species. Their cognitive ability allows them to preform both simple tasks and
complex tasks. It is assumed that people carry out cognitive and motor tasks by tapping into their task–sets. Task–set is the cognitive process the brain
takes to perform the task. Every time a person multitasks in order to get more stuff done faster they are experiencing task switching. For example, a
student could be typing notes during the lecture and has to type and listen to the professor at the same time. Typing the lecture most probably will take
longer since the student has to listen to the professor at the same time. From running a marathon to solving complex mathematical equations the brain
Another example of a task switching would be when an Olympian medalist has a 400 meter sprint and then has to perform 20 jumping jacks the brain
has to quickly stop one motor act and start a new one. For us it might seem flawless but for an Olympian in a race every millisecond counts and that
delay tends to raise one's reaction cost. This particular experiment tests if there is a significant difference in reaction time between task–switch and
task–repeat. In other words, when one changes from doing one cognitive task to another does the brain "shift gears" and would the second task will
be negatively affected. In other words, will there be a task switching cost. This may happen since the brain has to stop what it is doing and concentrate
on a new cognitive and/or motor task. This is called the "task set reconfiguration (Monsell, 2003)", and causes a delay in one's reaction time which

Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and
done. However, you rarely get successful. The truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in the
middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my

Poetry Thesis and Outline
While reviewing "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", it should be noted that the key is the rhythm of the language. The first, second, and fourth
sentence rime while the third sentence of each rimes with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sentence of the next stanza. In relation with the cryptic language draws
the question, there is a more sinister back drop of loneliness and depression in this poem much deeper than the level of nature orated by the Narator. I.
First Stanza
A. Frost opens with describing who's woods we are viewing

Frost further points out that the stretch of woods being viewed is very rural. This is made possible by the reference to the location between the woods
and frozen lake. In closing the final sentence of the second stanza Frost reiterates the fact that this occurs on "the darkest evening of the year" stating
the darkness of the mood.
In the following stanza Frost returns to the horse, which "gives his harness bells a shake". This is the first of only two sounds listed in the entire
poem. Sounds might normally be associated with a person in a lighter more jovial mood. Frost uses the lack of sound to put the narrator into what
appears to be a deep process of thought. As the poem moves further allon it is clear that Frost is not thinking of other sounds or even the feelings which
would be associated with this type of event. There is no mention of the temperature only the implication of the snow falling, and the frozen lake. Yet the
sounds are slightly present, similar to an athlete who is preparing for the event. Frost is quiet, internalizing his thoughts, focusing on the task at hand,
and not sensing the other areas of life in the world around him.

In the fourth and final stanza Frost uses the riming of all four sentences to draw the reader into the climax of the poem, "the woods are lovely dark and
deep/ But I have promises to keep/ and miles to go before I sleep/ and miles to go before I sleep". This grouping leads the reader to feel that
