He attended Manchester high school
proper to entering Manchester university
in 1908.
He graduated from honor school in
physics in 1911.
He spent the next 2 years under professor
lord Rutherford in the physical laboratory
and Manchester where he worked on
various radioactivity problems gaining his
M.Sc degree in 1913.

Chadwick did not return to Liverpool
University until moving to Cambridge

College
He died in Cambridge on 24 July 1974.
