A Message From
COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE
Welcome to the Collier County Fair
As one of Florida’s greatest traditions, fairs provide an excellent opportunity for communities to
showcase the quality livestock and wholesome produce our state has to offer.
As you visit today’s exhibits, discover the many “Fresh from Florida” products we produce and the
innovative techniques our farmers, ranchers and growers are using to put our state at the forefront of
every opportunity.
With many industries struggling in these difficult economic times, Florida agriculture has
emerged as the strongest pillar of our state’s economy. Continued strength depends on the com-
mitment of our youth. The Collier County Fair is a great example of how this community is culti-
vating the next generation of leaders to guide the future of Florida agriculture.
Congratulations to all of you who worked tirelessly throughout the year to make this year’s event the
best yet. Enjoy the fair
Sincerely,
Adam H Putnam
Commissioner of Agriculture

In Play With Gravity is a progressive Mototrials team
based out of Casper, Wyoming. The company was formed in
2003 as a way to promote the sport of Motorials; A motorcy-
cle competition series in which riders have to overcome ob-
stacles on their motorcycles using control, balance and fi-
nesse.
Showing the public and other motorsports what type of riding
can be accomplished on trials motorcycles is a huge pleas-
ure for the team. Now riding, performing, and competing all
over the country, Play With Gravity is showing their determi-
nation to fascinate audiences and push the sport to new
limits.
Billy Ray is the comedy creation and alter ego of Millard Brooks,
MD, a semi-professional magician and Board certified anesthesiolo-
gist from Naples, Florida. Millard has performed as both “Billy Ray
and as “Doc Brooks" in a variety of venues including street festivals,
walk around, formal close-up, parlour and stage. Millard has com-
peted in and won, as Billy Ray, the 2005 Magic on the Beach close-
up contest; placed third, as Doc Brooks, at the 2004 Florida State
Convention close-up contest; and made the finals, as Billy Ray, at
the 2006 International Brotherhood of Magicians Convention close-
up contest.
An enchanting extravaganza celebrating the age old fellowship of
these two phenomenal beings, Ma'Ceo presents rich acoustic
music and a gypsy ring that sets the scene for an action packed
performance.

LIFE’S NOT “FAIR”
Fundraiser and Silent Auction
On Thursday, March 21, 2013 the Fair Board will be hosting
the Third Annual Cancer Fundraising and Silent Auction
event at the Collier County Fair to benefit people who are
faced with circumstances
This year “Going Wild” will provide our donators and spon‐
sors with more exposure and larger crowds. We decided to
host the event on the second Thursday which corresponds
with the health and wellness day at the fair. We will team
up with other local charities such as the American Cancer
Society and the Blood Mobile to maximize our fundraising
potential.
The majority of our efforts will focus on raising money
through silent auctions, donations, and sponsorships.
Contributions at last year’s event helped the Fair Board to
raise approximately $6,000. With the support and gener‐
osity of our community we hope to achieve our goal of
$10,000 for this year’s event.
For information on the event or becoming a sponsor please
contact the Fair office at 239‐455‐1444.
