Friday -- June 21, 2013 – The Rallye BasilonePartnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, the selectgroup of cars and attendees will depart from the St. Regis and make its scenic trek toCamp Pendleton to see firsthand what many civilians do not: the base and its facilities.As part of Fridays activities, the Rallye Basilone will enter the base at Cristianitos Gateand tour the facilities via the historic Basilone Road, which was named after United StatesMarine Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone. Gunnery Sgt. Basilone was the only Marine to be awardedboth The Medal Of Honor and The Navy Cross during World War II. His extraordinary efforts in theBattle for Henderson Field at Guadalcanal earned him The Medal of Honor from PresidentFranklin D. Roosevelt and The Navy Cross was awarded to Basilone posthumously following the invasionof Iwo Jima where the Marine ultimately laid down his life for our country.We proudly bear his name as the title of the historic tour during the automotive weekend.

Giving Back…The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (SFF) was established in 2004 to provideimmediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S.Armed Forces and their families. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Semper Fi Fundprovides financial relief to post 9/11 service members for hospitalization andrecovery requirements, as well as assistance for those with long termperpetuating needs. The Semper Fi Fund acts quickly in a service membersgreatest time of need with a 24 to 72 hour response time for resources.The MARSOC (U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command)Foundation was established to provide benevolent support to active duty andmedically retired MARSOC personnel and their families, as well as to thefamilies of Marines who lost their lives in service to the United States ofAmerica.The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to the children ofMarines and Navy Corpsmen attending accredited community colleges, universities,and vocational/technical institutions, with particular attention given to those with aparent who was killed or wounded in action, or who have demonstrated financialneeds. The Scholarship Foundation is the nations oldest and largest provider ofneed-based scholarships to military children, having awarded more than 30,000scholarships valued at over $75,000,000 since 1962.

Cunningham was a greatAmerican sportsman who raced cars and yachts and was also a race car builder, driver, team owner, sports car manufacturerand automobile collector. He amassed a high-quality collection of automobiles that were displayed at the formerCunningham Museum in Costa Mesa, California.

Working summers at the family business, Barry would cover for production assembly employeeswhen they went on vacation. After climbing the ranks, working in all aspects of the business fromaccounting to client relations and even advertising, Barry took the reins of the company in 1973.Today, Meguiars is the worldwide leading producer of cleaners, polishes, waxes, conditioners andprotectants for every type of vehicle on the road and in the water.His love for the automotive industry is apparent in everything he does.
