22 Fighter squadrons as well as rectifying any interference with communications on base from equipment
generating to powerful signals disrupting communications. Operated base wide alert system Giant Voice
containing 13 poles located at 3 sites on Langley AFB as well as 20+ poles at 5 sites for Fort Eustis. Completed
daily/monthly/bi-annual performance maintenance inspections on 200+ radio equipment.

telecommunications infrastructure. Extensive experience installing, maintaining, overseeing, and repairing
analog and digital voice telecommunication systems, including radios, satellites, and emergency notification
systems. Deployed, sustained, troubleshot, and repaired standard radio frequency wireless, line of sight, beyond
line of sight, wideband, and ground based satellite and encryption systems. Maintained $7.8M in
communications equipment including land mobile radios (LMR) and associated Over The Air Rekeying (OTAR)

equipment installation and wiring. Repaired, overhauled, and modified communication systems and related
equipment. Troubleshooting of isolated malfunctions using system checking procedures, required test

Monitored systems and network for abnormal behavior and rapid response to network users reported errors.
Prepared oral and written reports to brief management on telecommunications program functions and
recommendations for improvement. Responsible for preventative maintenance on applicable equipment.

managed loaner Land Mobile Radio (LMR) program and associated database. Assigned to the fly away kit UTC
maintaining and testing for real world deployment.
Developed materials and documentation concerning telecommunication programs and technology. Managed
shop Technical Order (TO) program ensuring that TO library was up to date and updating as needed. Participated
in a project to install and verify new antenna for the fighter squadrons to improve the range and quality of
transmissions. Developed an operator familiarization program focusing on the PRC-117F for deploying Airmen
of the Intelligence squadrons to demonstrate operations and capabilities of equipment. Developed internal
reference guide for the base mass alert systems addressing the most common failure points and their most
expedient resolutions.
Deployed to Southeast Asia - 2011:
Specific base location information is classified. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the SIPR
NIPR Access Point (SNAP) satellite terminal maintaining the telephone and computer network including SIPR
NIPR connectivity. Installed Land Mobile Communications (LMR) UHF/VHF system to be used by base
personnel. This included identifying interruptions with telecommunications networks in order to analyze the
causes and resolving issues with communications network equipment and telecommunications infrastructure.
Duties expanded to assisting the ARMY with the 7800W LOS Microwave backbones, assisting Allied forces in
region with the setup and deployment of Fly-Away kit. Ensured proper maintenance and operation of central
communications hub, TATR, maintaining voice and data networks across multiple combat theaters in the area of
operation (AOR). Worked closely with ARMY/Allied counterparts to resolve issues as quickly as possible. This
required almost complete autonomy in identifying and rectifying any and all issues. Self motivated.
Accomplished tasks with extremely limited resources.
