1. Login / New User:
Login to Oracle E-Business Suite.
Login Page will be opened
Login with Default User for Vision Demo database.
User Name: operations Password: welcome
2. Now you are in Oracle Applications Home Page
Note that the user has the “Responsibilities in the left side”. System waits you to click on one of these responsibilities.
“Please select a responsibility”.
Click on “System Administrator” Responsibility link.
Menus and Functions under this Responsibility will be displayed.
3. Navigate to: Security: User > Define
Yellow fields mean that these fields are mandatory and you cannot save the record until populating these fields.
Create new User for yourself, enter User Name, initial password (enter twice), and Description.
Enter your description.
4. Under Direct Responsibilities Tab, Assign “System Administrator” Responsibility.
Populate “System Administrator”
Click TAB, the below screen will be displayed, It is the LOV “List of Values”.
Choose the combination of “System Administrator” Responsibility and “System Administration" Application.
Save your work:
1. Ctrl+S
2. Click Save Disc icon from the Tool Bar
3. File > Save
5. Under Direct Responsibilities Tab, Assign “General Ledger Super User” Responsibility.
Choose the combination of “General Ledger Super User” Responsibility and “General Ledger" Application.
Note that the Responsibility name became disabled which mean It’s not updatable.
6. After Save, Note the message appear on the footer of the Page, maximize the Navigator to be able to see this
message.
Close the opened Form:
1. F4
2. Ctrl + F4
3. File > Close Form
4. Click the Close icon on the above and left of the form.
Close the Oracle Application (F4). So You Can Enter With New User.
Logout.
7. Now Login using your user, enter the initial password
Now You Have To Change Your Password For Security. Enter initial password, and new password twice, Click Submit.
Now you have the new user and this user has the “System Administrator & General Ledger Super User” Responsibility.
