4. A software license is a legal document that
describes how an item of software may be used
and disturbed.
OR
A software license is a license agreement that
gives an individual, company or organization
permission to use a software program
5. The authorization that grants one user the right to use a
software package.
It may grant user the right to install the software on only
one machine.
It may authorize installation on any number of machines as
long as that same licensee is the only user.
6. Basically the software is licensed to one user
only. This may be to use installation only, or
may allow multiple installations provided only
the licensed user uses the software.
7. This license allows you to install a program onto
multiple computers used by multiple users.
Typically this may be a set number of users.
Similar as the single user license, but more than
one person can use the software
8. Example:
A five user multi-user license allows
up to five people to use the program. Its means
the number of license is equal to the people
how use the program.
9. Software license that is based on the number of
simultaneous users accessing the program.
It deals with software running in the server
where users connect via the network.
Concurrent licensing can be managed by the
application itself.
10. Example:
In a five-user concurrent use license, after
five users are logged on to the program, the sixth
user is prohibited. When any one of the first five log
out, the next person can log in.
11. The license allows a program to be installed on
an unlimited amount of computers with an
unlimited amount of users, as long as they are
at the location of the site license.
Site licenses are typically for schools and
businesses.
