4. What is corona virus?
•Corona virus, a large Family of virus Known to cause illness
ranging from the common Cold to more severe disease such as
:-
•Severe Acute Aespiratory Syndrome (SARS) – from Civet cat’s
China (2002).
•Middle East Respiratory syndrome (MERS) – from Dromedary
camel’s , Saudi Arabia (2012)
•A new Corona virus emerged in Wuhan city , Hubai province in
china is called as 2019-nCov.

6. Where do Corona virus come from?
•-2019-nCov suspected to from Sea food market at Wuhan.
• Several known Corona virus circulating from in animal that
have not infected humans.
•A Spill-Over event is when a virus that is circulating in an
animal Species is found to have been transmitted to humans.

7. Mode of spread
•Through hands – More than 80 percent.
After touching the surface like immigration counter, ticket
counter, door handles, touching the eyes, nose without washing
hands.
•Airborne direct transmission – Less than 20 percent
•When a near by person coughs or sneezes.

8. Symptoms
There are three types of symptoms:-
Most common symptoms
• Fever
• Cough
• Tiredness
• Loss of taste or smell

9. Less common symptoms
•Sore throat
•Headache
•Aches and pain
•Diarrhoea
•A rash on skin,or discolouration of fingers or toes
•Red or irritated eyes
Serious symptoms
•Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
•Chest pain

12. Treatment
•No antivirals treatment for the coronavirus infection has been
effective but
•Studies among SARS–CoV patients show that the combination
of Lopinavir and ritonavir was associated with possible clinical
benefit.
•Based on this research, ICMR has obtained approval to use this
combination therapy us part of a public health emergency
within a research framework and restricted use.

13. Precautions
Corona itself is telling us to take precautions-
•C - Clean your hands
•O - Off from gathering
•R - Raise your immunity
•O - Offer hand wash to poor people
•N - No to handshake
•A - Avoid rumours

•That’s why stay safe from corona virus and save yourself and
the rest of the world.
•At this time of pandemic our health is the first priority so stay
indoors us much us possible go outside if it’s too urgent.
•Always wear mask if you go outside and wear mask under
your mask if you feel sick.
•Maintain social distancing.
•Use sanitizers and liquid hand washes.
