2. I love going on Cruise, its about the pleasantness,
peace of mind, relaxed environment, not having to
worry about food, cleaning etc. all the necessities are
taken care for me. I even feel my entertainments are
also taken care which are my luxuries like shows,
casino & pools etc.
3. Similar to how the cruise line takes care of everything
necessary and also luxury the provider of software
applications for enterprise or business environment
all the “required” and “nice to have “ features,
integrations etc should be taken care by providing
great user experience, performance and security.
4. While using software applications users must feel like
they are in CRUISE as the apps should be Context
based Responsive Unified Integrated Secured
Experience.
5. Context based: Context is everything once users are
in an environment (Enterprise apps or LoB apps or
SaaS etc). using different applications that serve
different needs users context should be carried for
them making it easy. ex: Single Sign On
6. Responsiveness: Responsiveness is a “need” not
“nice to have”. As users need to get the tasks done
as fast as possible. Apps processing request must
respond fast and if it take more 1 second to process
request then “loading..” should be displayed.
7. Responsive: Apps should be Responsive Web App
Designed (RWD) that caters to different form factors
like desktops, tablets, phablets, and mobiles. They
should be touch friendly and gesture friendly. Users
should not have to use “Stylus” for pin point accracy.
8. Unified: Unified and Consistent experience between
different apps/modes in an environment is a vital
factor. For example: I love Windows 10 unified
experience compared to Windows 8 that has
choppiness when moving between Modern UI mode
& PC mode.
9. Integrated: Users should never be entering same
information in multiple apps/systems multiple times.
They should enter only once and apps should be
integrated by synching data for users. If they move
from one app to other they need to continue from
step 11 instead of repeating steps 1 - 10. in new app.
10. Secured: Users should feel that apps/systems are
secured to the latest and greatest security standards,
encryption, TLS, SSL, and SAML etc. The security
should be seamless that does not interfere with the
User experience and performance of the
apps/system. Secured from XSS, XSRF, SQL Injection
etc. If they feel secured the provider gains TRUST.
11. Experience: Users should be happy, satisfied and
have great experience using applications. They
should have as pleasant experience as possible. They
shouldhave no cognitive friction when working with
app/system. Eg: Turbo Tax app is easy and user
friendly that doing taxes is not painful at all.
