Work Experience
Around Twenty Four (24) years of work experience in the field of erection & maintenance of
Gas & Steam Turbine generating plants and its associated auxiliaries such as Heavy Duty
Pumps, Compressors, Gas Turbines, Steams Turbines, Feed Water Pumps and Boilers in India &
Middle East
Performs alignment of mechanical equipment such as Pump and Compressors, Cable of using
relevant measurement equipments, carries out diagnosing and trouble shooting of all rotating
machinery (Turbine Compressors and Pumps) and other equipment on the barge, performs
maintenance work for accommodation and galley equipment as required, checks and maintains
spare parts requirement with Mechanical Foreman and Storekeeper, acts as a member of the
emergency team and participating in firefighting exercises and Permit Holder

Work Highlights on Rotating Equipments
 Overhauling vertical in line between bearings, horizontal axially split and trolley split.
 Multi stage horizontal axially split and radically split submersible deep well , handling
different types of mechanical seals such as single, bellow, back to back, tandem dozing
and reciprocating pumps
 Installation and alignment of rotating equipment using rim and face and reverse, laser
methods.
 Inspection of Journal and thrust bearing
 Setting the axial centering and radial centering of rotor
 The bearing clearance and crush of journal bearing
 Setting the axial float of rotor
 Renewal of wear rings
 Setting of various types of mechanical seals
 Checking and setting the nozzle clearances of turbine
 Renewal of suction and discharge valves
 Checking piston end clearances
 Renewal of stuffing box packing
 Centrifuge compressor, reciprocating compressor, turbine centrifugal pumps ,
reciprocation pumps, rotary pumps, bellowers, fans, gear boxes etc
 Worked in various shutdowns in refineries and petro chemical plants
 Good knowledge in seal and lube oil system, oil film seals and dry gas seals
 Working knowledge of static equipments such as vessels, heat exchangers, tower tanks
heater relief valves, isolation valves, reactors etc
 Working knowledge of rigging and crane signaling
 Attended a part in quality circles, modification jobs and safety
 Involved in permit work system
