Description:
The Telecom Process of GE monitors and analyzes the entire Telecom operations for GECIS. Tools like
Lucent Vital Net and Cisco Wan Manager are used to monitor and analyze Data from Equipment and Links.
Clarify is used as a CRM tool to provide support to end-users. CMS and PBX are tools used for monitoring
and analyzing Voice Channels.
The Telecom Process is in need of certain multidimensional reports from the data obtained by various tools.
These can be integrated into the Digital Cockpit so as to enable the team in monitoring and analysing various
parameters in their process.
GE capital India has various processes caters to multiple clients and has many customer requirements.
Complexity in information needs comes from managing over 400 processes and 10,000+ people at multiple
clients/locations on multiple systems/technologies at customer and GE end. To manage this complexity and
growth there is a need for central standardized, real-time system is required for the management for taking
both short-term and long term day-to-day decisions.
Responsibilities:
1. Extracting data from SQL-Server using SAS/BASE.
2. Cleaning of data using data step and SAS Base procedures.
3. Preparing the data according to star schema models.
4. Registering variables as character and analysis variables in meta-base.
5. Extracting data from Oracle using SAS Access to Oracle tool.
6. Cleaning of data using data step and SAS Base procedures.
7. Registering variables as character and analysis variables in meta-base.
8. Exploitation of data using SAS/EIS tool.
