1. BEE BREATHING
GOALS
– To slow down and focus our thoughts
– To connect kids to the present moment with the breathing
DESCRIPTION:
– Sit in a comfortable position
– Close your eyes
– Focus on listening to your breathing.
– Feel the air entering in through your nose, filling up your lungs and
blowing out of your mouth.
– Inhale slowly through your nose.
– Place your thumbs on your ears to close off external sound and place
the rest of your fingers on your head.
– Take a deep breath.
– When you exhale through your mouth, try to imitate the sound of a
bee (zzzzz) as long as you can.
– Try a different sound such as “mmmmmmm” or “Ohhhhh”
– Repeat this exercise for 30 seconds or until your body is calm and
relaxed.
