Key people
I started in IT Recruitment in the 90’s in
the UK before moving to Australia working
with both local and global organisations.
With experience working in different markets,
financial climates and countries, I have
learned to adapt to any market conditions.
My longevity in the industry is down to the
passion I have for the development of trainee
recruiters. Taking people with no experience
and developing them into high performing
recruiters and beyond has allowed me to grow
successful offices and divisions.
There is no greater satisfaction seeing
someone over the years develop both on
a personal and career level. I love helping
contract and permanent recruiters develop
their craft and grow successful businesses.
I am a self-confessed workaholic but that
could also be called drive and ambition!
My relationships are built on honesty and
so with me there’s no fluff, just open and
direct communication.
I came from a fashion background and
my venture into recruitment was fairly
intimidating initially. However, I was quickly
able to differentiate myself with customers.
After nearly a decade in the industry, some
of my client relationships are now great
friendships.
I am motivated to create and participate
in a high performing, yet safe to fail, culture.
An environment where you can challenge
and be challenged and where there’s a
drive for continuous improvement. What’s
rewarding for me is the ability to help others
advance their career and doing the tough
stuff together.
I started in IT recruitment just as the first
ripples of the GFC hit Australia. It was a
blessing in disguise as I learned to struggle
and succeed through a recession and
subsequently how to behave during an
upswing and fairer weather. Either way,
relationships come first.
Much like real estate, recruitment consulting
is often done carelessly. However, there’s
always a right way and my aim is to solve
client and candidate problems in a passionate
and ethical way.
I am excited by being able to provide a
platform for people to thrive in. It is important
to me that everyone has meaningful work
and evolves constantly. My satisfaction
comes from seeing team members take on
challenges, combining success and fun
on the same journey.
