2. • Scene 1 Beginning: In the first shot Zain will walk
through the door telling the two other boys of what
has happened. (During this shot we will use a
medium shot to show the character when he
walks in.) In the next part of the scene the main
protagonist Michael is sitting with his friend Jiyaad
watching a movie as Zain walks in and tells them to
change the channel to put the news on, as Zain
looks worried Michael asks him what's happened.
(In this part of the scene we will use a close up
shot of Michaels face showing him ask Zain what
has happened after this will use 180 degree rule of
Zain telling Jiyaad what happened and Jiyaad
refusing to change as he is enjoying the movie. A
medium shot which will also be used to show all
the friends sitting together. We will do this to
show the unity).The scene will then move to when
the news of the 9/11 news is heard . (In this part
of the scene we will use a medium shot in the first
bit to show the reaction of the characters and
then we will use close up shot on the television to
show what has happened.)
3. • The scene will move to show the next day
when Michael is walking in to the classroom.
(During this scene we will use a medium shot
of Jack nodding at Michael and Michael
nodding back). Michael becomes stunned at
what he is being told to do by Jack as he tells
him to stop hanging around with the Asian
boys as he believes that they are reason of war
and the attacks. However Michael refuses and
doesn’t agree and he turns and walks off (
During this scene we will use a 180 degree
shot to show both Michael and Jacks point of
view. We will also use a two shot of the
conversation between Michael and Jack We
will use a medium shot of Michael walking
away from the classroom, and show him
sitting on his own just before he receives text
from Beth. )
4. • Scene 2: Michael meets up with his girlfriend at
the café at lunch time. (During this scene we will
use a establishing shot of Michael and Beth sitting
together showing that they have been there for a
bit.) After this Beth and Michael talk about their
relationship and what the future holds for
them.(During this scene we will use the 180
degree rule to show both people talking and
reactions of both people whilst they talk. We will
then shoot the same scene as a close up shot from
Michaels point of view). The scene will then move
on and will show Beth walking out after Michael
and her have had their conversation. (We will use a
medium long shot of Beth walking out of the
restaurant and going, we will then use from
another angle a long shot of Michael leaning of a
rail and looking into the lake next to him).
5. • Michael walks in after he has been with Beth( WE
WILL USE A MEDIUM CLOSE UP SHOT OF MICHAELS
HEAD AGAINST THE DOOR WHEN MICHAEL WALKS
IN, WE WILL DO THIS TO SHOW MICHAELS REACTION
TO WHAT STATE MIND HE IS IN.) After this Michael
just walks about in the corridor of his house trying to
get his mind off what has just happened. He hears
bush's speech from the outside so he decides to go in
and see what bush is saying. (DURING THIS SCENE WE
WILL USE A CLOSE UP ON BOTH MICHAEL AND HIS
DAD TO GET BOTH OF THEIR REACTIONS TO WHAT
BUSH IS SAYING. AFTER THIS WE WILL ALSO USE A
LOW ANGLE SHOT WHEN MICHAEL IS TALKING TO HIS
FATHER WE WILL DO THIS TO SHOW THAT MICHAEL
IS NOT TRYING TO OVERPOWER BUT TRYING TO GET
HISPOINT CLEARLY THROUGH TO HIS DAD.) Near the
end of the scene Michael will then leave the room as
he is not able to get through to his father which
aggravates him to leave. (AT THIS POINT IN THE SCENE
WE WILL USE A LONG SHOT TO SHOW MICHAEL
WALKING AWAY.) This scene will start with Michael going
into the net room.(DURING THIS SCENE WE WILL USE A CLOSE
UP SHOT OF MICHAEL, SHOWING HIS REACTION AND HIS
REACTION TO WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO HIM.)
6. • (ZAIN IS ON HIS OWN IN THE PARK WHEN HE IS APPROACHED
BY JACK AND JACK SLANDERS ZAIN WITH ABUSE AND
COMMENTS THAT HURT HIM, ZAIN TRIES TO BACK OFF
HOWEVER JACK IS PROVOKED BY HIS FRIEND BOOTHY TO HIT
ZAIN AND HE DOES, AS THIS IS HAPPENING MICHAEL SEES IT
ALL FROM A FAR DISTANCE AND RUNS TOWARDS ZAIN TO
HELP, HE TELLS JACK WHAT HE THINKS OF HIM AND OF THIS
SITUATION IN ANGER JACK ALSO HITS MICHAEL AND IN THE
BACK WE SEE BOTH TOWERS FALL AS BOTH BOYS FALL.)
• For this scene we will use a close up medium shot of the boys
arguing, and then a close up shot of Michael and him seeing the
boys arguing, when Michael arrives we use the same shot that
we have used for the shot between Jack and Zain.
