¡ ad Disaster Recovery
¡ one of our newest members is the Taiwan Association of
Disaster Prevention Industry (TADPI)
¡ GSDI is negotiating a MoU with Univ. of Melbourne's new
Centre for Disaster Management that is being set up by
past GSDI President Prof. Abbas Rajabifard (member of the
GSDI Executive Committee).
He is conducting this week an international symposium on
disaster management that with over 100 delegates from
different countries and organisations (including Greg Scott from
UNGGIM).

MASAT-2
Mission objectives: 1-3U CubeSat aimed for
technology experiments
Special features include: 3-axis stabilizator
High resolution camera optimized for CubeSat

Pre-testing of the MaSat 3, the prototype for HEOS

This end-user focused event will offer an opportunity to discuss how
innovative geoinformation services based on
satellite imagery and/or satellite navigation can help regional
administrators improve public services and make better

23. Conclusions
¡ Interoperable spatial data infrastructures and related services
are enabling tools for EO applications
¡ EO industry is transforming into a geoinformation industry
¡ GSDI and IGS are open for the EO players to join the geospatial
information community.
¡ GSDI Regional and Country level members are playing active
role not only supporting EO applications by their members for
the societal benefit areas but also providing awareness raising
by arranging international networking, regional projects,
conference sessions, thematic workshops and promoting
competition challenges from local to regional in EO in close
cooperation with space agencies such as NASA or ESA.
