2. Election system in PAKISTAN
According to “CONSTITION OF PAKISTAN”
In PAKISTAN a person is eligible to vote if:
▪ If he/she is a citizen of “PAKISTAN”
▪ He/She is not less than eighteen years of age
▪ His/Her name appears on electoral roll
▪ He/She is not declared by a competent court to be of unsound mind

▪ Many parties took part in election for the sake of power just like PPP,
PMLN, PTI, JI, JUIF, MQM, PMLQ, NPP and many other independent
candidates.
But the major three parties were Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan
Muslim League Nawaz, and PakistanTahreek-e-insaf

The most of the youth of PUNJAB and KPK was
sporting PTI.While the elders sports PPP and PMLN.

Rural people did not have political sense.They give votes on the
basis of relations or influence. Urban people being educated have some
political sense and they are very selective for supporting candidates.

▪ The overall literacy rate, estimated at 60% in 2012-13.
▪ Punjab’s literacy rate was 61% 2012-13.
▪ Kpk literacy rate was 51 % 2012-13.
