MODERN MEANS OF TRANSPORT
Modern transport means, modern as to a
newer or a futuristic object and transport is a
way to get around whether it`s driving, flying
or even just walking around.

ROADWAYS
The most commonly used means of transport especially for
short distances are roads. They can be metalled (pucca) and
unmetalled (kutch). Manali-Leh highway is one of the highest
roadways in the world. Roads built underground are called
Subways/underpaths. Flyovers are built over raised structure.

RAILWAYS
The railways carry heavy goods and people over long distances
quickly and cheaply. The Indian railway network is well-
developed. It is well-developed. It is the largest in Asia.

WATERWAYS
A waterway is a canal, river, or narrow channel of the sea which
ships or boats can sail along. Waterways are the cheapest for
carrying heavy goods. They consist of two types. Inland
waterways and sea routes. The Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hooghly is
the longest waterway in India stretched for 1620km.

The air transport mode is defined by four basic elements:
airlines, commercial transport aircraft, the air space used for
their flights, and the infrasture required to support their
opperations like airports and ATM (air traffic management)
facilities.

Communication
Communication is the process of conveying messages to others.
Through newspapers, radios and televisions we can
communicate with a large number of people. They are therefore
called mass media. With the development of technology,
humans have designed new and fast modes of communication.
Mass communication is used to spread awareness among the
people on any specific issue. It is used as a source of
entertainment by the people
