2. Introduction
Lack of time management skills becomes a major
problem among ZU students due to:
Procrastination
Poor planning and organization
The problem can be solved by;
Implement time management workshops at ZU
Introduce digital tools and apps
3. Causes of the Problem
1. Poor planning and organization
Nasrullah and Khan (2015)-poor planning skills had negative
effect on academic outcome
Wilson, Joiner and Abbasi, (2021)-positive relationship
between time management skills and academic achievement
2. Procrastination
Aribas (2021) study showed a negative correlation between
students’ academic achievement and procrastination.
4. Solutions to the Problem
1. Implement training workshops at ZU
Wilson, Joiner and Abbasi, (2021) recommend training workshops
workshops to improve students time management skills.
2. Introduce digital tools or apps for students to plan their
schedules
Nasrullah and Khan (2015) recommend long-range and short-
range planning behaviors and time attitude to effectively
time through digital tools
5. Conclusion
Effective time management;
Improves student’s academic performance
Improves overall academic achievement of ZU
community
Time cannot be recovered once gone
